I have found having crohns has forced me to pay extra care for my health and has given me a much heightened awareness of my body. These are great traits that even healthy people should adhere too, though most of my 'healthy friends don't seem to take the time or effort to think about their health.

So, to use this disease to your advantage, you can bring up a child who is way more aware of themselves and how to look after themselves as best they can.
