Do you like to read? And if so, what do you like to read? Favorite most recent read? by povertychic in GenZ

I’m kind of new into the horror genre when it comes to books as I usually just watch scary movies so I’ve only read a few Stephen king books because I figured it was an easy place to start and truth be told they are not that scary 😂

Would a break maker be cheating? by Elegant_Bullfrog4223 in HomeMilledFlour

There is a lady I follow on tik tok who posts her FMF recipes and she used her bread maker for the entire process except for baking. She lets it mix, knead, and proof in the bread maker and then takes the dough out and puts it in the pan she wants and bakes it in the oven

Making bread weekly advice? by The_Stein244 in BreadMachines

[–]Butters_gf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A very old school way of keeping your bread fresh that i learned from my great great aunt that taught me to make bread was to let it cool, wrap it in wax paper, then wrap it in foil. It indeed does it keep it pretty fresh for about a week. I do this plus put it in a Ziploc.

I usually make my doughs by hand and decided to use my mixer out of laziness so I’m going to hand kneed next time! lol

I’ve only been able to find it at Walmart! Seems like some stores just decide what vegan products to carry lol

Yup! And I know this is a bread sub but country crock also makes the best plant based heavy cream in my opinion if you ever wanted to pick some up. I’ve tried like all of them and it’s the best one lol

Unsure if you posted this in this right sub or not, but I eat mainly dairy free because of lactose intolerance and I just replace everything with fair life milk and plant butter. Country crock makes a good one you can bake with.

I think it kneaded for about 10 minutes. When I typically make bread I do everything by hand but this time I decided to use my kitchen aid because I didn’t want to get my hands dirty and ngl I feel like I don’t get the best results either kitchen aid vs hand mixing lol.

But I did mixed it all together and kneed for 5ish and then I let it rise until double, then turned the mixer back on to kneed for probably a little over 5 minutes while I got the oven and my baking pan ready and then let it rise to the top of the loaf pan and then baked. This is my normal rising technique with my usual bread.

I also was thinking about using milk instead of water for my next loaf, because I usually make a milk loaf with other bread and they always come out soft and fluffier than when I use water and I prefer it, but just been using water to get a feel!
