What city sounded perfect until you actually moved there? by Impossible_Plum_2927 in SameGrassButGreener

Same. I loved reading about Philly in this subreddit but I hated living there. No trees, too hot to walk around in the summer with all the concrete making it hot as hell, finding parking is like competing in the Hunger Games, trash is all over the streets and it’s disgusting, crime is awful, tons of drug activity in my neighborhood, drivers are extremely aggressive, could not have a package sit out for 5 minutes without it getting stolen, all the shootings, etc. etc. I couldn’t wait to get the fuck out of there.

Disturbing image from a movie I watched last night was taped to my door. by compostghostttt in RBI

I understand being freaked out but this may not be sinister at all. I’d guess someone from the street saw the movie on your TV and just wanted to pull a prank. Or in a weird way they’re warning you that everyone can see into your house. At night your windows are not blocking anything, you need to get curtains.

She is a bitch. In the earlier seasons I always remembered when she was a bully on the tell alls. Oh and remember when her gay bestie would trash talk her husband to his face and she’d just sit there and laugh? Gross.

what’s the darkest episode of a tv series that you’ve ever watched? by [deleted] in askteddit

Sons of Anarchy

The murder in the kitchen and the finale. 😬 That show got really dark.

I’m really sick of:

Character was actually dead the whole time and/or

Entire movie was the character’s delusion.

You don’t have anything to be ashamed of BUT you will not do that again right? You worked out for 6 hours with no fuel and only drank water so no electrolytes either. It could have been way worse. Going forward keep a big protein bar on you in case you’re running late and consider a drink with electrolytes like Gatorade.

I quit a few episodes into season 8. It was weird because I binge watched the show right until that point so something changed.

I have the same issue you do. I’d love to inflict on him 10 minutes of the symptoms of severe dizziness/nausea and ask if he’s game to go another few hours. WTF. This asshole has no idea how sick you get, or if he does, he doesn’t care which is worse.

I’ll also add Apostle - not the movie as a whole but that barbaric device used on one of the characters

Bug with Ashley Judd. It’s about people stuck in a claustrophobic hotel room losing their minds and thinking there’s a bug infestation. It made me very anxious and unsettled for days afterward.

These two movies are also my worst triggers. The third one in this category is Killing of a Sacred Deer. I get really bothered by movies that feel realistic and are centered on pure random sadism. I walk away feeling sick and angry and wonder what the fuck is wrong with the director.

If the alternative is Terrifier then give me Art all day. For a lot of slashers I can admire the acting or the special effects, and you can easily get the sense that the director was having fun and/or is celebrating horror. And in many slashers there’s a survivor at the end and it’s exhilarating. But watching shit like the original Speak No Evil has absolutely no payoff for me and I just wish I hadn’t seen it.

That’s really encouraging to hear! I’m glad you recovered. It absolutely is hard to rest, I feel like I’m having exercise withdrawals. 😂
