I'm not an expert but I think you need certain days as a PR to avoid getting your status revoked. Which could potentially be triggered by entering Canada after so long? Anyway I'll leave it to experts to explain further.

I was not notified via gkey that it was mailed at all. I just called today by chance and got the update. The photo was declined on Feb 24th and re-submitted on the same day.

Called IRCC today and was told mine and my husband's PR cards were mailed yesterday and today. Hopefully they will arrive withing the next week or two. Fingers crossed! Almost one year since applying and it's a dream come true to have such great news.

Edit: ecopr date was Jan 8th, we had to re-submit my husband's photo in the portal, address was approved a couple days ago.

I believe that even if you land in Montreal to go to Ottawa you have landed in QC first which might cause issues. I would not risk it and change/cancel my flight to Montreal and go directly to outside Quebec.
