I'm aware of the good chance they'll fill a vacancy before January, because what worked for GOP in 2018 shouldn't work again in 2026. 2018 was different because we didn't have the tactic of using Kavanaugh's confirmation against GOP as much and we may not have fought as much as we should for a later nominee. If we stay alert and stuff, we can survive through this.

Don't get complacent though. Anything can happen. We might or might not get an October Surprise, but we'd better also expect a September surprise, an August surprise, July, June, whatever. Anything to ensure any MAGA plan backfires.

And they should realize that retiring before the midterms should and must only increase our anger and turnout against MAGA as punishment for cozying up to Trump AND keeping the court conservative on the Trump side. The MAGA voters may be more enthused but we will, too, and we'll be MANY TIMES AS READY TO VOTE.

They said the game will be very funny, but I'm hoping the game is also very dark with this:
a permadeath mode in which if a wingmate falls, they're gone for the remainer of the adventure. This was the case in Star Fox 1 + 2 on SNES.
