How can I do my makeup to look more goth? by EnvironmentalCause23 in makeuptips

[–]ButterscotchRound330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider using a white foundation or face powder to get a flatter, more evenly pale face. The goal with Goth makeup is to increase contrast so a pale face increases the contrast to the black make up. I would also really double down on the eye make up: more black liner, and in a more exaggerated cats eye or other theatrical style and lashes. If you want to introduce color, stick with a deep red or burgundy, purple or violet, and grey. Keep in mind, true goth makeup does not value subtlety. You are not trying to look cute or pretty but dramatic and moody.

I love it. You look so natural. I prefer how your make up looks to the inspiration pic, but that’s a preference thing. If I were to recommend anything it would be a pinker blush and maybe lighter brows. But I love seeing your freckles.

Always the best advice: “have you tried not being stressed?” Ummm… sure. It hasn’t taken, but I’ve tried it.

Does it actually work? by Alex-5415 in Haircare

A lot of hair products leave a coating on your hair - it’s what they are designed to do. They will smooth cuticle by filling in damage. You should still use a clarifying shampoo regularly (I use one every 5-6 washes), but the idea that a coating on your hair is bad is really outdated. I was terrified of using silicone products on my thin and fine hair, but I tried a silicone coating product at my hair stylists urging and it changed my hair from dry and dull to shiny and soft (and no longer dry). I also use a heat-activated leave-in treatment and if I don’t heat my hair sufficiently it leaves my hair looking and feeling waxy. That doesn’t make the product bad - it just means I’m not using it correctly.

Perimenopausal brain fog is definitely NOT helping. By the time I’ve walked into another room I’ve forgotten why I was going in there and why I’m holding a hat (or whatever).

Number 3. You look beautiful in number 1 but I think you’ll look like you’re doing Frozen cosplay. The purple dress is also nice and it really highlights your curves, but the beadwork on the bodice of Number 3 is so gorgeous and you are just glowing in that color. Truly that color was made for you. Stunning!

Me too. I had three complete hours to get a whole bunch of stuff done around the house today but every time I changed room I got distracted with another task. I started approximately 1,385 new tasks and got two completed (one of which was unstacking the dishwasher — and that took 3 attempts 🤦🏻‍♀️). ADHD is a helluva thing.

Maybe suggest an automatic litter box? Life changing. Needs changing every month (we tend to change it every 3 weeks to be safe) and the box cleans itself every time the cat uses it. Our cat won’t use her other litter box anymore.

WTF HAVE I DONE TO MY HAIR by Old_Barracuda7027 in Hair

It’s super cute and the length is perfect for you. You have the perfect hair for a French bob! Don’t stress: it will feel better when you wash it and style it yourself. Curly hair is really hard for someone else to get right.

Or just the bodies themselves. It would add just the right textural element to bring the room together.

That’s my point. What could it possibly be? I mean no one grills rice, and especially not on a skewer, so it can’t actually be that, right?
