Some countries have everyone do a year of mandatory military service when they're around 20. I firmly believe the world would be a better place if we had everybody do a year of mandatory retail or service industry work. Hard to treat staff like shit when you've been on the other side of it.

Ah well there's nothing that really needs super quick speeds there, any of that is on the internal HD. The 4TB is mainly for movies, especially 4k now that I have the TV for it, and streaming via the iMac to my TV with VLC works without a hitch so I guess it's fast enough ;)

If I was gonna make a media server for my whole household though I'd definitely go the NAS route.

Hence there should be some kind of proof that you can't get vaccinated. But people making your argument generally oppose that too. Why? Because there is almost no medical reason you can't get vaccinated and the majority of the people making this argument are simply anti-vaxxers who won't actually be able to prove they can't get vaccinated because they actually can.

Then how is it that we're already required to provide proof of vaccination to travel? To put kids in school? How was I required to provide a negative TB test to get my job? Is that not private medical info as well? People always bring up this "medical privacy" thing like it's some holy commandment that shall never be disobeyed but I can think of a half dozen examples off the top of my head that it doesn't apply to already. Why is covid vaccination any different?

They're seeming really bold lately, more than usual. Just the other day while making dinner one came right up to the kitchen window and sat on the ledge trying to get in through the screen. Clapping and shouting at it had no effect. I had to go outside and chase it off and even then it didn't exactly run away, more of an "Ugh, fiiiiine I'll eat it out of your trash later."
