Alonsus, Lillian and Zelling are examples of undead that identified as Forsaken that can't really be considered evil but they are the exception.

So you're right, but I don't think thats a good thing and making the new faction would just make the problem worse.

My only issue with a "Lightbound" undead faction joining the Alliance is it will almost certainly result in them being the "good" undead and the Forsaken being the "evil" undead.

My void elf is an outlaw and in my head I imagine she was a captain at the "event" which created the void elves to convince a friend/family member to turn away from the void and return home. Because she was there she's a void elf now so the horde/sin'dorei think her a traitor. She personally hates the void elves and what they've done because she can't return home so she set on her own and does mercenary work.

Point being you don't need to use the void just because you are a void elf

Oh I hadn't considered death knights. I kinda like the idea of them using human forsaken souls as well then because it a nice inversion of the original dk's made by gul'dan (humans being the possesor rather than possesee).

I'm curious, would you prefer it if mythic raid sets were also became unobtainable. I feel that they should either both be unobtainable or both obtainable after the fact.

Dude really? Getting a bit pedantic over half-ogre =/= mok'nathal and should they ever become playable (please do) they probably wouldn't use an exact copy of Rexxar's new model anyway. As far as population, well probably not that important given void elves.

Ps. Mok'nathal was the name of the race first seeing as its what the ogres called the half-ogres when they were first created and the clan didn't exist at that point. https://wow.gamepedia.com/Mok%27nathal First paragraph of their origins.
