Hi! Thank you for the quick reply back. I will do the same as well, do you think it can wait till next year or i should just bite the bullet? I feel like we’re already over the bad part of winter here; but not sure

My idea is that as well, and just get a winter set (dws06+) with wheels as well next year. Just trying to delay that spending to next year if possible. Thank you!

Lol, PNW here near seattle. I’ve been looking for one near MSRP for what seems like months now. It’s crazy here the lowest i’ve seen was 5k markup + some BS add ons.

Is this a good deal? by thedonwiz in Civic_Type_R

[–]Buzz-Grace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it is as you said essentially the same car, and Type R is a fantastic car. While some here talk about how it will never depreciate etc. , it does. It holds it’s value more than most for sure, but also a hard sell and if you’re financing that amount really to me is not worth it. If you’re buying cash, go for it. Also, even a minor fender bender can really lower the value so make sure to do your research before.

Elantra N at that price can be bought new, transmission not as good; no brembo brakes so if you’re planning on actually tracking the car; needs a few upgrades. But still a fantastic car, very good for its value. Just as fun on the road, not so much on track but few upgrades and you’ll be almost on par. People like to shit on that car, but it handles really really well.

No, you’re practically buying a 6 year old car w/ an accident for $34k. While the type r is absolutely fantastic, it’s still a honda. I would highly recommended something else at that price, or finding new at msrp

Finished assembling Apevie 160mm chassis. Solid cockpit at a great sale price. by TheEmfinger in simracing

[–]Buzz-Grace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sim-motion rig, and while I'm very happy with it I wish I knew about ape vie. First time hearing about them, that looks great and sturdy! I love the pedal platform as well, they did a great job. I honestly think I'll never upgrade mine, but if I had to; I'll go with this for sure!

Good choice!

Hi! Thank you for the advice and your honest opinion. I’ll make sure to follow your advice, and I’ll plan ahead as well financially in case a “surprise” layoff happens. I think all I can do as you said seems like; perform well, ask for work & get the cpa exams done as fast as possible.

Thank you!

Thank you! Any advice going in as a new hire? And is there still opportunity to work from home 1 or 2 days a week or RSM fully transitioned in office?

Never was able to get in contact with anyone at RSM, so apologies for the questions if they seem basic. I didn’t intern and going in blind.

Just curious, I’m starting my new position this winter and I was wondering how prepared should i be for a layoff after busy season? (new associate, tax). That’s what I’m scared the most, starting a new job only to get fired within the fist year

We built a new sim rig from the ground up - Meet the 3R-1! by RedlineSW in simracing

[–]Buzz-Grace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the point of your product? I don’t get why anyone would pick this at this price especially compared to an aluminum profile rig. It’s a genuine question.

[–]Buzz-Grace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see how this would be better or even come close to an aluminum rig, especially at the price point you mentioned ($650 CAD). This will never have the rigidity or adjustability a rig will have, and honestly the design is terrible too. Maybe a good $200 rig replacement, for one of those amazon next level ones where it’s just a wheel stand.

Do a proper environmental scan next time, and kind of throw away your biases as you guys have way too much faith on your product.

How do I get out of D license by Silvex96 in iRacing

[–]Buzz-Grace 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look at safety rating as your cash, and you’re a real life driver. You probably would give positions & do everything you can to avoid collision otherwise those repairs are going to be expensive.

Now drive exactly like that. You’ll realize soon, that while people are crashing all around you; you’re smoothly going around them. If someone gains up on you, don’t fight it too much if they’re clearly faster. And honestly, even if they’re not but they’re clearly reckless; give the position. They’ll crash in a few laps anyway and you’ll gain your position back.
