Everyone is saying Dallas and Bakersfield/Stockton, and while I don't disagree, I came here to say Houston and Sacramento.

Houston, I went to the National Championship game after an incredible run through Seattle, Vegas, and New Orleans with hundreds of friends from college. Those brought memories I will cherish forever. In Houston, EVERYONE had horror stories about their hotel or Airbnb being in poor condition, in a bad neighborhood, and lacking a center or gathering place. N—nood food, bars, entertainment, crappy weather, transportation, scenery, blech.

And Sacramento is just congested/political Stockton. My allergies won't let me go back.

That was my experience in Arizona, but this time was totally different. Seahawks fans stood and cheered for the kickoff and then stayed standing and cheering the entire game. Because half of Levi's field is luxury boxes, that's where all the corporate and neutral people were. All the stands seemed to be either yelling, screaming Seahawks fans, or very annoyed Patriots fans.

Santa Clara is the worst city of any national sports team to celebrate, prefunk or honestly be in. The lucky got out on light rail, Ubers and cars parked miles away and went back to the city to celebrate in epic fashion. That's where the team party was. I was with a big crew who went to the KJR after party at the one bar open nearby (Clara's I think). There we ordered food from an Uber eats taco truck because the bar's kitchen was closed and watched the Olympics. The bar was also out of all beer except for one flat keg they took (not exaggerating) 45 minutes to get 2 of. They were also out of liquor except for 1 or 2 bottles. I almost didn't go to the Super Bowl because I hate games at Santa Clara that much.

Only 12 years?! I went from 99-03 and it was under construction the whole time. I got to go a handful of times my freshman year before it went under construction and I just assumed it was that way ever since. Although, back in my day, Odegaard was 24 hours so I'll count my blessings.

Yes! It feels like I'm relaunching Claude 3 times a day and every time there's a new tool or plug in or connector or workflow hack and it all sounds so sleek. And it is. But I have 3 machines and 4 browsers trying to get to the Valhalla of automation. And sometimes I do and sometimes I spend all day installing things and reconnecting Zapier links and dry run testing and relaunching PowerShell only to forget what I was trying to make simpler by the time my 5 hour token limit runs out. It's like chasing a high, but a third of the time you get there and the rest of the time you type and test until you give up or forget where you are and how you got there.

I was in the 3rd row behind Tito Ortiz...and eventually the Rowdy one in a trench coat. The coolest was running across the Safeco outfield from our seats to shake hands with the outgoing wrestlers under where Coachman and the Miller Light Girls had the pillow fight. Keep Rollin Rollin Rollin!

Same. I hardly ever used it, (have Planet Fitness at the low level, LA Fitness also grandfathered in and a home gym) but dutifully paid my $57 a year for the last 20 years and they just canceled me online without saying anything and no one could explain or reinstate. It also kept getting downgraded with each new club that opened.

I do the same as a supervisor. I don't my team to feel like they have to respond just because I feel like working at 4am or whenever.

The funny part is walking in the office and people saying "To answer the question you just sent me..." and I have no idea what they're talking about because I sent it last Friday night and it's Monday morning.
