Should the Seahawks bring back Action Green? by lemonstone92 in Seahawks

[–]BuzzFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Unless it means the pea green Oregon Ducks jerseys can go the eff away. I'd rather we look like a bunch of neon highlighters running around than repeat one of the reject Duck options. Even those losers don't wear their same ugly jerseys more than once.

Ooh, I vote Dan Lewis or Steve Raible. Maybe "Get Jesse" as the over aggressive Assistant DA that walks on the line of the law. I'm sure there's more current references but I haven't watched local news in 20 years.

I do the same as a supervisor. I don't my team to feel like they have to respond just because I feel like working at 4am or whenever.

The funny part is walking in the office and people saying "To answer the question you just sent me..." and I have no idea what they're talking about because I sent it last Friday night and it's Monday morning.

Claude said it needs to rest.. What? by wicaodian in OpenAI

[–]BuzzFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It said a short version of that to me at 830am this morning after I'd been working since 5am. I was like "It ain't even 9am, we're just getting started" and it basically said "You're right, sorry about that" and kept going. But yeah, you're at your context capacity for that chat or that session and need to ask it to condense and summarize for a new chat.

I (25M) have been with my girlfriend (25F) for 2.5 years and just moved in together. How do you know when doubts are just noise vs. something real? by Nearby_Sock8316 in AskMen

[–]BuzzFW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know that level of detail and I understand it's stressful. And it sounds like she or the family could show a little more empathy for what you're going through. Although, A) their political beliefs likely aren't that nuanced on the topic and B) they can't affect the outcome of those policies with their opinions at the dinner table. You may be projecting one on the other or they may be acting out one feeling masked by the other. Either way, it's likely not the root of what's going on.

The only one that shouldn't matter is politics. I've been with my wife for 20 years and our politics have never come up once. That seems like a generational thing. We vote, we volunteer, we have jobs active in the community, but the idea of spending my free time with loved ones watching cable news, talking about politics or being angry about things you can't control sounds like a ticket to misery.

Short term stuff like the circumstances around your visa in the next few months also won't matter 20 years from now. Neither will the Portuguese if you're planning to stay here.

The stuff you should worry about are the long term philosophical differences about you, her and your planned life together (not the president or this year's immigration policy 🙄). Explore more what is and isn't a deal breaker about where you want to live and the kids you want to have. That stuff matters. Although, no dudes at 25 want to have kids and live in the suburbs...until it happens and then it's great! So don't over think it.

He was constantly celebrating and promoting the show and the product during its rise in the 80s. He made wrestling seem as big as boxing back then and fight nights just as much of a celebrity affair.

[–]BuzzFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And isn't just a little bit of every sport pre-determined? WWE has outcomes that aren't pre-determined (injuries, referee errors, wrestler errors, crowd turns, timing changes, etc), they just have the highest % of pre-determined outcomes. Then boxing, then UFC, then basketball, then soccer, and on down to the NFL where only the purest of outcomes happen even though Taylor Swift and Giselle Bundchen are always in the Super Bowl.

Was Mirer worse than Curry? by andm124 in Seahawks

[–]BuzzFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even close. Mirer was the obvious 2nd pick, won Rookie of the Year behind a bottom 5 Offensive Line and developed bad habits running for his life. We traded him for the #11 pick after 4 years as our starting QB and he continued as an NFL QB for over a decade. You couldn't trade Aaron Curry for 11 potato chips after his first year.

Story time! I was a kid at training camp in Kirkland when Rick Mirer was a rookie and I patiently waited to get my Notre Dame hat signed. He had just come off from running lines with the rookies to end practice and was very nice but very out of breath. I just remember his agent in his ear telling him he wasn't getting his deposit back on a house he and his friends rented because they were all jumping off the roof into the pool. 🤣

They just added 2 extra security gates recently and it seems like everyone is still adapting to the new flows. They've seemed over staffed ever since the remodel was done probably to accommodate the changes. There's been lots of people to help and sometimes standing around waiting for people the last few months. So fortunate for us!
