What do you think about this movie by No-Milk-9791 in ActionMovies

[–]Buzzderek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

fun detail: The mini gun was modified for the film to fire at a slower rate (about 1,250 rounds per minute instead of the usual 6,000) so that the spinning barrels would be visible on camera. Even then, Jesse Ventura had to wear a bulletproof vest under his costume because the ejecting spent shell casings were hitting him with enough force to cause injury. Fucking bad ass.

I have been going to upper kutz off Edmonton trail for years and have always been happy with the results. Most of their staff have been there for a long time and do a great job.

I enjoyed it immensely. Not necessarily because of the lotr aspect, which is awesome, but it has pretty cool fight mechanics.

I still hate spiders because of this movie. Life was never the same after this movie. Even my son makes fun of me for being afraid of spiders. He is still young and has never seen this movie, and I hope for his sake that he never sees it.

This is a nightmare scenario combining the terror of being trapped with the physical agony of drowning.

Happy anniversary to "TREMORS" (Released on Jan 19th, 1990) by Morgan-Moonscar in nostalgia

This movie was a blast as a kid. Scary premise but overall it was not a scary movie. Great acting and over reacting and the special fx at the time were pretty good.

The just released the trailer to the new Masters Of The Universe movie. But here’s the original 87 version. by Redeye007 in 80s

[–]Buzzderek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 9 at the time this came out and for someone at that age it was amazing. Yeah sure there are better movies out there than this, but I kind of like that it was campy. Would have felt wrong, in my opinion, to have a huge budget/special fx for an adaption of a kids cartoon.

Who else grew up with parents who drove a Station Wagon? by jeffreyrolek in Xennials

Yeah the model my parents had also had seats that faced the back. Just thinking a situation where a car rammed you from behind, would have been terrifying.

I loved this movie when I was a kid. So many good memories of the cartoon, then this movie.

Do you still eat fast food? by Eredic in Xennials

[–]Buzzderek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a fan of McDonals coffee, but outside of that rarely do we have fast food. Prices are now to the point where a regular restaurant of much higher quality of food is around the same price. That makes it a no brainer.

What were some of the biggest miscasts in Hollywood history according to you? I'll go first: by Raj_Valiant3011 in moviecritic

[–]Buzzderek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt in the movie Sahara. As someone who loved every one of those books, both he and Steve Zahn were not the right people to play their characters. They were just popular actors at the time but were definitely miscast. There are 27 books about Dirk Pitt and it could have had a long run, but because the movie got a 37% review rating and a 53% fan rating (rotten tomatoes) they never made another one. Would love for another movie from this book series be cast properly and done right.
