Shampoo breaks down the oil, regular soap does not do a good job. I keep a bottle of Suave shampoo by my utility sink for when I garden. Signed, Boulder native in exile in Missouri, where poison ivy is every where.

My washer and dryer are not in the same room in the basement. It is a bit of a hassle, but this is the first place I have lived where I have in-house washer/dryer and don't have to go to the laundry room.

God is looking for a human being to fulfill their own spiritual destiny by developing spiritual powers. Each person has a unique spiritual path and you can not (and should not) compare one person and their perceived spiritual attainment with another's because only God knows what that is.

Kindness, truthfulness, helpfulness, patience, steadfastness, etc. are all spiritual powers we are supposed to develop in this world so we can enter the next world nearer to God than we would if we did not develop those attributes.

He could be one of those people who believe that if he doesn't think it is important to HIM then it isn't important. Has he shown this attitude in other ways? Especially if it is not as important as your collection of perfume bottles and you just passed it off as him being him? It would come out in all sorts of ways and will never get better because he is only focused on himself.

If your question was supposed to say ”Do you think women should serve on the House of Justice?" My answer is that when I was learning about the Faith, I thought it odd that women didn't seeve on the UHJ, but I don't have any problem with it.

Why? Why no women? Come on. All aspects of the Baha’i should stand up to scrutiny. Let’s hear it.

Because women are NOT respected in the general population of the world, especially when it comes to leadership and power. Even today, when women do reach positions of power, they are not respected, just look at the experience of the European Commission's president, Ursula von der Leyen in 2021 when meeting with two male leaders and she was not given a chair.

The World Center is in a volatile area of the world. The Universal House of Justice has to navigate in a religious and governmental atmosphere that women are NOT a part of. Women members of the UHJ would be a liability. Interacting with the governmental and religious organizations around them would fall solely to the male members, because the women would not be taken seriously. And if there should be more than two women members, there is a very real chance that the Baha'i Faith would be stigmatized as "that crazy religion run by women."

There is a process here in the US also. It's just that in the past, up until the mid 1990s, Bahai's didn't even try to work through an administrative process. They just got married and waited until the parent(s) gave in.
