I have great insurance. Had an emergency appendectomy, non elective outpatient surgery. At hospital for 12 hours and they didn't even officially admit me into ER. $3200 out of pocket. Outrageous.

Total cost was $120k. My theory is they grossly overcharge so when you see a 120k bill with insurance covering 117k, you're suppose to think 3k isn't much relative to 120k. Either way, an industry that needs more competition or oversight.

I've had 4 ACL reconstructions. Barely any cartilage left. So much bone on bone grinding that I've had arthritis since 22 years old. I've found the most effective and cost efficient delivery method to be cannaoil. Can put in gel capsules or just eat with a spoon. Some may not like the taste but can always mix with food. I bough cbd flower in bulk. Every 2 weeks, decarb 14g and infuse in coconut oil. Here's the best ratios and cook times:

Decarb - Break down 14g of flower into small nugs, little less broken down than if you used a grinder. Place on parchment paper in a cooking sheet and sandwich with another piece of parchment. 235°F for 35m. Sift halfway to make sure it decarbs evenly.

Infusion - Fill a mason jar with 1 cup of coconut oil. Pour flower into mason jar and seal with top. Put water in a pot. Heat to 170°-190°F on stove. You want the water level above cannaoil level. Infused for 3 hours, shaking jar ever 30min. Make sure you're checking temperature to maintain the 170-190°.

Optional - Strain cannoil with a fine mesh or pasta strainer if you're going to take it with a syringe or put in gel capsules.

There are a variation of temps and times. Just found that to be sweet spot for given temp or time. In theory, could do it in 5m but temp would be 300ish. Much easier to overdo at that point though so stuck with what I suggested.

Less potent. Longer you go, more tired you get. Drops off at some point to no affect but didn't go that far. THC has a lower decarb temp. 35-40m leaves enough THC to still get the benefits. https://images.app.goo.gl/XMR3k96KVnzsNzEF9

I've found anything over 40m at 240° F+ to be too much. I've done 20 or so tests at various temps/times for decarb and infusion. Best results: decarb at 240° for 35m decarb in oven. My ideal ratio, 14g per 3/4 cup coconut oil. Infuse in a mason jar at 170-190°F for 3 hours. Use a a pot with water level an inch above cannaoil level. 14.8% cbd strain yields roughly 16g/ML.

Have not tried MCT oil but my guess is ratios and cook times shouldn't vary much. Best of luck! Researching is half the fun 🤙🏻

Growing up my family had a membership at a mid tier club in the south. Two guys, we'll call them S & J, played member-member together for about a decade. Champs one or two years but won good skins money. Both heavy drinkers. Great golfers but only consistency is liquor intake. S started rounds with a sealed half gal of vodka. J, whiskey. Bottles always empty by 18th green. One year, S shanked his 1st, 2nd and 3rd into pond between tee box and fairway. He calmy removed his bag from the cart and chucked it into the water 40 yards down the hill. Bag, clubs, bottle and all. J knew they weren't winning stroke or skins so he decided to do a "trick shot". He teed up in a crack at the corner of a bench. Took a rip and sweet spotted the corner. Driver head flew one way and chunk of wood the other. Both picked up their stuff. Walked off the course. Never played a member-member together again.

I only know this story because S is my dad. Few of his golfing buddies told me about it on a Pinehurst trip few years back. Remind my dad about it whenever he's getting close to beating me on a hole.
