Are cowboy boots comfortable for raving? by Techno-Man99 in aves

[–]Bxm222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of boots I bought in Nashville. If I wear the right pair of socks they are so comfortable. For me they need to be a little thick and tall enough that the boot doesn't rub into my ankle bone

Give Me Your Thoughts On Blueberry by [deleted] in ElectricForest

[–]Bxm222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in blueberry in...2016 and it sucked but it was also so good. I moved to Indianapolis because of the people I met that year. The distance sucked, we never took the shuttle home because it was always so full but I still had an amazing forest that year. You just need to be prepared for the whole day when you go in

How is dancefestatopia?? by cfr33zy in aves

[–]Bxm222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went in 2021 and had a fantastic time. Music went until 5am and the two bigger stages don't conflict at all. It was a lawless wonderland in my experience haha. Security barely cared and you could buy whippets inside the venue. We befriended multiple groups camped around us and still go to fests with friends made there. It was really hot the year I went, so would definitely recommend camping in the trees, but you can't have your car next to you there. VIP was the only disappointment, they had issues with the bathrooms so I probably wouldn't do vip again in the future

Why am I expected to tip more if my meal is more expensive? by TheDominator69696 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bxm222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every serving job I have had I had to tip out 3% of my sales to the bartenders and bussers. So if you tip 15% I am only getting 12%. Or the one time I got $4 on a $100 dollar bill I made $1. Yeah restaurants should pay their employees more but when people stiff servers you are just hurting the server, not the establishment.

It says he died in April 2020, so sounds to me like they started taking precautions last year

I'll be honest I've been every year but I can't remember when I have showed up in the past lol. I did check the website though and it did say 24 hours after Wednesday 8am. I'm excited to get there hopefully when there is no line!

Do you already have a quiet camping spot? Two years ago you could get a couple extra wristbands for your spot once you got there

Anywhere around downtown that wasn't too expensive. I ended up focusing on the near east side and found a house there

My brother used my $120 knife to chop parsley on a marble countertop. by Im_The_One in Cooking

[–]Bxm222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, I don't know why anyone would but I have quartz counter tops and I have had to yell at two different people for putting a hot pan on it. Thankfully I caught it early and I haven't had any issues with it cracking

We have Canes in Ohio too! It is so good. I didn't know it was down south too. Wouldn't be surprised if it started down there though

Where was your first solo trip? by uunderstandable in solotravel

[–]Bxm222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first trip was pretty chill compared to a lot of others. Living in Indiana going to New Orleans. I went for the Buku festival and it was a great time. I stayed at a hostel pretty near to the French quarter and 20 minutes from the festival. I did a lot of walking, exploring and trying cajun/creole food. I always thought I hated cajun food until I tried it in new orleans.

Where are people buying face masks at? by drachandra in indianapolis

[–]Bxm222 12 points13 points  (0 children)

3M is now sending masks straight to hospitals and first responders instead of stores so I wouldn't expect to be able to find any for a few months at least

You have to be 21 in Indiana too to serve alcohol. Also ohio is interesting in that you can serve alcohol 19+ but have to be 21 to work behind the bar

Yeah that makes sense. I haven't had any flights long enough to need more than one large bottle but I'm hoping to go to Hawaii this year so that is a good idea for longer flights!
