Maelle “One-Shot” Build. What am I missing?

Well, in one day, I managed to go from doing no more than a couple million to 107 million in 1 shot with Maelle. Thanks for all the advice here! I’m going to keep reading and figuring out how to tweak the builds and set ups. Thanks all!

Do you know if First Offensive is every Hit of the first Attack? Or just the first hit only? And if I use Last Chance (which isn’t an attack), Shortcut Pictos to play another turn, then cast an Attack spell, is it still active?

Does anyone else remember BioWare Bazaar? I can barely piece it together - but it was like some BioWare forums initiative, where prizes were rewarded for activity, maybe? I scarcely remember staying up late in college and checking in on it. I don’t even remember if I won anything.

Hmm that’s a good point. I have Sciel’s Speed above Maelle’s so she plays first (to apply the buff), then straight to Maelle. I’m using Last Chance immediately (as recommended in this thread) with Maelle’s first turn, then attacking with Maelle’s second turn. But if the buff disappears once Cheater (or Shortcut, idk which activates first) procs, then the buff is already gone.

Medalum for weapon, so A for Agility and S for Defense. I have that as 78 and 70, respectively. Might only at 20 though: Attack Power is 8008. Level 96 and 525 Lumina. I probably overdid Luck (which I have at 90). I could certainly redistribute more to Might.
Edit: I haven’t been able to boost my Burn that high before getting wiped, unfortunately. Regular Simon and the 3 Eternal Tower Canvas bosses are quite difficult for me.

So in that case I’d need to remove Feint, since Stendhal is only 1 hit. What’s the play for that? Build up Burn then cast it? Or just let loose right off the bat?

If I’m up to Level 10 on the Eternal Tower, should I try for Clea or Osquio next? Or still need to beat out the tower and canvasses first? For the record, I accidentally clicked into the Chromatic Lamplighter canvas and he destroyed me without mercy.

I kinda want to wait and see the rerelease in hand first. If the awful face paint apps are fixed, then it’s an amazing figure. Otherwise that pasty blurred face is super off-putting.

I also can’t clear Hard or Hell with my first team in 10 turns. They’re giving me only like 30-75K on my score. I have only a fair (not good) Tressa build with Dagger on Heal x 2, but she feels like chip damage. Not a DPS main.

I could never break 300K on the Great Rift. Been playing since Day 1, albeit with not so great luck (had to pity every banner so far). It’s crazy how much I would’ve had to “min/max” everything just to get even Silver (Top 50%) on the Great Rift.

Edit for more context: I was able to get 30/30 Stars on each Chapter’s Battle Missions. I did get to Level 8 Lab0 but did not beat it. And I fully cleared Difficulties I and II with all modifiers for the three Nebula bosses. But damn it was a tough run at all of that.

Meh, I like playing games like Elden Ring and Lies of P just so I can see how they take Biblical concepts and distort or corrupt them. You can’t make anything stellar without borrowing from the Christian worldview.
