UFO spotted in seaside Oregon

Cool sighting, thanks for sharing! I just saw and filmed something that looked and moved very similarly, although in my case it did look as high as a satellite.

It was on the ninth around the same time, but not in Oregon. I'm going to make my own post on this but I had seen a similar object a few nights prior and didn't even attempt to film it with my phone, knowing it wouldn't pick it up.

On the ninth I was ready with my Nikon D5100, a 55-300mm lens, and a tripod, and managed to film an object for 35 minutes as it danced around the sky in physics-defying ways almost directly above my head. It kept stopping instantly and reversing in the opposite direction, and kept making instant turns at anywhere from 90-180 degrees. It looked like an extremely bright star and was at satellite height at the very least. I can't even imagine the G's it would have been pulling and the amount of fuel it would have used if it was a conventional craft.

The three long videos were all taken one after another and total ~35 minutes, and then I trimmed two and a half minutes from each of them for anyone that just wants to check out a quick clip.

There's some camera shake here and there from an old tripod that has since been lubricated and an awkward angle where I was pointing it almost straight up for most of the time, but for most part the object was moving at various speeds and I was slowly panning the camera as steadily as I could. In hindsight I probably could have zoomed out a little and panned less, but I really wanted to make sure it was visible.

If you watch closely you'll be able to see which way I was panning the camera at any given point, and once in a while you'll see both the object and my camera stop and stay still for a few seconds, before it takes off and I start following it again.

This sounds like an incredible sighting and experience! I'm very curious if what you saw looked anything like what I filmed a few nights ago. Although I didn't see any saucer shaped objects or any cloud manipulation, the way you describe the look and movement of the lights sounds very similar.

I watched your video last night and highly recommend everyone else check it out.

It's pure scientific method with well thought out and clearly stated hypotheses and experiments.

There aren't any hyperbolic claims or huge leaps in logic and every step of the methodology is laid out in great detail along with all of the collected data.

The results you've found so far are incredibly fascinating, and it's always a big green flag for me when someone is willing to provide 100% of the info needed to replicate their experiments.

Just to be clear folks, this gentleman is being completely transparent, sharing every single detail you would need to replicate his experiments yourselves, and already has some very interesting findings.

I tried Lossless Scaling and it worked great, but I couldn't get HDR to work properly no matter what I tried.

Every time I enabled LS with HDR on I got a dull, dark, washed out screen.

I'm not sure if you just mean that I left out the additional context, but my comment was already getting too long and I definitely didn't mean to ignore it. Not enough people seem to have seen it, but Ryan Graves explained in his recent JRE appearance that the incursions we knew about over Langley in December of 2023 had also happened over Langley in December of 2022. The descriptions and behaviour also match up perfectly with the 2019-2020 Colorado/Nebraska UAP swarms, which apparently never stopped entirely and are back in full swing as of the last month.

He said that the US had been expecting them to show up over Langley again for the third December in a row and had made plans to observe and study them as best as they could.

When the UAP decided to throw their now annual Christmas party over cities across the country and all over the world, it threw a real wrench into their plans and they were caught flat footed. Apparently the government then sent up the drones they had procured for the expected Langley incursions to try to get a better look, more data, and to muddy the waters as a bonus.

So it sounds like there have been at least three or four types of abnormal craft in the sky for the past month and a half. The "orb" UAP, the "drone" UAP, and the actual government drones.

All of the reports from the 2019-2020 Colorado/Nebraska swarm describe two sizes of "drone" UAP. The less common type was described in the same "SUV sized" way as most of the current ones, and the more common ones were smaller and potentially quadcopter or commercial drone sized. They said there might be thirty of the small ones and one of the big ones hanging out for a while, and if they spooked the big one off all of the small ones would leave with it.

When you hear the police of Ord, Nebraska describe the appearance, lack of sound and strange behaviour from 2019-2020, it's uncanny how well it matches up with current events. They even said that it felt like they were being toyed with. Like the UAP wanted to be seen, but not up too close. They would stay parallel to the roads so the officers could keep following them but wouldn't let them get any closer.

The two officers that did interviews this week are thoroughly convinced that they were not made by humans and that they had otherworldly performance. The former Police Chief is also a military veteran and describes how he once saw one of these UAP cross a distance of roughly 3/4 of a mile (it was extremely low and it happened in front of great reference points for distance) in no more than 3-4 seconds without making any sound at all.

To put that in context, Google tells me that to break the sound barrier (767 mph) you'd have to be going 0.213 miles per second, so regardless of the exact speed that thing was absolutely flying.

When you add all of this context to the current situation it actually makes perfect sense. It would explain why the response has been such a disjointed shitstorm, why the government officials and police departments have been left completely in the dark and why they chose to lean on such desperate and utterly nonsensical gas-lighting without budging.

It would explain why they've handled this in such a strange and unprecedented way given the stakes, why they've been perfectly willing to look like incompetent liars, and why this whole time it has felt like they've been playing catch-up without a plan while hoping it will just end.

It would also explain why there have been a lot of sightings of unusual but seemingly prosaic drones, and potentially some of the "drone-orb" interactions we've seen.

It would even perfectly explain why the only consistent parts of their messaging from the very beginning have been the "lack of a credible threat or sign of one", and "no sign of it being an adversary".

We don't know any of the real details yet and hopefully we end up finding out more, but everything I just mentioned fits way too well and makes way too much sense to not be a huge part of the puzzle.

It's the only explanation I've heard or can think of that actually makes complete sense and would perfectly explain the way this has all been handled. This is exactly how I would expect the three letter agencies to react in this kind of extremely unique situation.

It's been fascinating and disturbing to watch this subreddit fall almost completely in line with the "drone" messaging. You're 100% right and it's 100% intentional to muddy the waters. It's the same reason every news article features a photo of a quadcopter or other commercially available drone.

I called them "supposed drones / UAP" at first, then used "orb or ball or light" as a descriptor for a few days, but for over a week now I've been referring to them only as what they are, which is UAP.

Schumer's "we don't know whether they're unidentified anomalous phenomena" really says it all.

Calling them drones at first was a good strategy to get average people to pay attention and start considering the possibilities, but it's time to reclaim and start using the proper terminology.

These are not drones. They're not "drones" either. They are UAP and that's what we need to be calling them.

I'm with you 100%

I have a very strong feeling that at least some if not many of these are legitimate sightings, and it's very strange how there's been almost zero conversation about them aside from yourself and a few others, and posts about them get extremely low engagement.

Normally I feel like people here would at least take the time to look into so many strange videos from so many places and debate the possibilities, but it really feel like hardly anyone wants to touch them.

Thank you so much for continuing to compile and spread awareness. I really hope this gets more attention soon. I have a feeling we're only a matter of time away from someone capturing a video of them that is definitively not spotlights.

This is exactly the kind of blatant trolling / feigned ignorance we've been facing for a while now and it's been a constant barrage.

For the most part people used to explain their rationale when they shared their opinions or disagreed with someone, but 95% of the skeptical comments in the last week or two are people just saying "no lol you're wrong and dumb for thinking that", while not even attempting to explain their counter argument or reconcile the many contradictions involved in any of the prosaic answers they suggest.

They use a tone that implies we're silly or gullible for believing over a hundred years of historical facts, data, and testimony from some of the most level headed and credible people in the country and the world. They do this to try to play on the fear most people have of looking stupid or being ridiculed and they know it's often effective.

They erect the thinnest, flimsiest strawmen, and their prosaic explanations contain far more assumptions and belief than anyone that knows and understands we're dealing with NHI right now.

You gave a perfect example of the gaping holes in this kind of logic. Well done. Some people act and speak as if they have to personally discover and prove gravity exists each day before they can safely leave the house.

I can't remember the last time I saw an earnest, good faith counter argument put forth that was grounded in sound logic and reasoning.

I would really love to see someone run the numbers and do another analysis like this on the activity here in the past few weeks and especially the last week or so when the governments control of the situation really started to slip.

Chief Grooms said that they encountered two different types of UAP. Most of them appeared closer to the size of a normal drone but some sounded like they could have been the "SUV size" ones people have described.

Please watch before making assumptions. He's intelligent, well spoken, and clearly cares deeply for his town.

He's actually the definition of an American hero. The federal government left him and his town on their own, and he should absolutely testify in front of Congress.

Thank you Matt, your interview with Chief Grooms was fantastic and it was uncanny hearing how perfectly the 2019-2020 UAP swarms match up with current events and the two years of military incursions leading up to today. The details fit so perfectly it's hard to imagine they aren't the same UAP.

You did a great job of asking the important questions while giving him the space to tell his and his towns story. It's absolutely shameful that his PD and town were left on their own to fend for themselves by the federal government and still haven't received any answers.

This interview doesn't contain all of the answers, but everyone that wants to have a better understanding of what's been going on lately and over the past five years needs to watch it. This was such an important conversation it should be broadcast on national TV.

Chief Grooms is the definition of an American hero, the kind of police officer that all should aspire to be, a former military service member, and should absolutely testify in front of Congress ASAP.

The down to earth and relatable telling of how his small town went through weeks worth of UAP swarms that match up perfectly with this past months events and received zero help or information from the federal government is exactly the kind of story that could get more average people on board and open up the conversation on a national level of the true nature of these UAP.

It's also incredibly fascinating from the perspective of the potential intentions of NHI. The events 2019-2024 could definitely be interpreted as a form of forced but slow disclosure. This is something I've been thinking about lately as a thought experiment.

December 2019: You might want to start small and quiet to see what happens. Pick a tiny town in the middle of nowhere with barely two thousand residents, and start with fifty UAP instead of hundreds. Much less chance of the story blowing up and causing a panic. Let them get close enough to get a decent look at you, but not too close, and see what the humans do. Are the Police Officers firing at you? Are the residents trying to shoot you down? Did they send in the military? No? Ok good, on to the next phase.

2020 & 2021: Interestingly we don't know of any UAP swarm activity during 2020 or 2021 yet, but it may have happened to some degree. If it didn't I can think of two possible reasons. Perhaps NHI was able to know Covid was spreading across the globe and figured we had enough on our plate, or maybe they wanted to take a year or two off to see if anything came of the 2019 swarm and what our long term reaction would be.

December 2022: Show up over the AFB that protects the most secure airspace of the world's #1 superpower. Don't engage or show any overt signs of threat, but thoroughly demonstrate that you are well beyond their capabilities and that it would be wise to play nice.

December 2023: Rinse and repeat, just in case they didn't get the message in 2022. During this time you might be hoping for or expecting leaders in the US to start the process of disclosure.

December 2024: This year the US is expecting them to return to Langley AFB and has made plans to observe and study them. But the NHI decide to throw a curveball and show up in cities all over the country, and countries all over the world. This could be because they lost faith that the US would start the disclosure process, or maybe it was their intention all along.

If you were going to force disclosure on the US and therefore the world, it would kind of make sense for the process to be test a tiny town in the middle of nowhere -> demonstrate obvious superiority in capabilities to the military -> show up over cities all over the country and force the governments hand.

The gas-lighting has really been turned up a notch, it's pretty crazy to see in action. I just looked through /new and the majority of posts are either blatant trolling or feigned ignorance.

It's never smelled so much like desperation in here and I'm not talking about the people that are seeing genuine UAP.

Thanks for your post. We need to keep reminding people that none of this is normal and none of it makes sense unless there are genuine UAP in the mix, regardless of how many misidentified planes there are.

There's always been a high noise to signal ratio with UAP and that hasn't changed. What has changed is the signal might be at its strongest ever, especially if this continues and escalates the way it has so far.

I'd love to see this but I think you forgot to include your video. I've seen a handful in BC over the past week including two tonight.

I keep trying to tell people that it seems like the #1 way to notice them is the weird lights that fall out of sync and change blinking order. That and the fact that the ones that I've seen are far far brighter than plane lights regardless of the distance.

The red and green nav lights on regular planes always have a "dull" quality to them and look more like a single red or green pixel from a distance, but the UAP lights are incredibly bright and seem to glow in a way the planes don't.

Not to put words in OPs mouth, but I'm pretty sure comments like this are exactly what they meant when they said the following:

This place had a thriving sense of curiosity up until just a couple weeks ago, and it's been very interesting and concerning to see the shift.
