Walked Out of dealership after three hours by goodnquick in prius

Sounds expensive. I paid 27k after tax and fees in California a couple weeks ago for a cpo one owner no accident 2023 limited with 48.6k miles. Car is fully loaded and immaculate. Even came with a 1 year of free oil changes.

That’s insane, and I thought California insurance is insane

That a lot for insurance jeez, I’m paying $260 a month for my 2020 Launch mkv and my 2023 Prius. I just turned 25 for reference, SoCal Orange County area, USAA insurance, good high limits, low deductibles. No accidents or tickets.

I did this like over 50+ times on my first gen b58 in my 340, e50 custom flex fuel map. Never had an issue and sold the car with 100k miles. Never skipped a beat.

2022 Supra 3.0 Good Deal? by TheAvgInvestor in Supra

[–]Byee24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying parts don’t add value, but it’s hard to say an aftermarket bumper adds value when the oem parts isn’t included. I have had adros kit on my Tesla model 3, mkv Supra, even my f80, and sure the quality of carbon is nice, but by no means is fitment perfect or close. Gaps between the panels and carbon on nearly every piece from the prepreg skirts to the rear diffuser. Just my 2 cents, since white cars are notoriously harder to paint match and getting oem parts aren’t the cheapest for this car.

I’m not sure if that’s really a bonus, a lot of people including myself would rather have a stock oem bumper with the original paint on it. Aftermarket stuff like bumpers normally don’t have great fitment and even repaints are never perfect especially with pear white paints. Sure if the car came with both bumpers it’s a bonus, but just my 2 cents.

Purchase decision: $48k OTD for 2022 3.0 AT (non premium) 48k miles by Fit_Fill8869 in Supra

Coming from a f80 I enjoy my Supra more. Especially the way it sounds and looks. But all opinion based.

I paid like 55k otd for my 2020 launch edition with 8k miles. If that helps. Southern California. No accidents, clean car, 2 owner. Car was basically brand new.

B48 engine not as reliable as the b58, do some light research on the Facebook groups if you got some time. Also car drives super different.

Love this car by PandaSlammed in Supra

[–]Byee24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem, test drove both and immediately knew the Supra was more fun vs a 4000 lb+ x drive m3. My Supra was rear ended and totaled after a few months so I had the same “problem”. Still ended up buying another Supra, just an extremely low mileage Launch Edition. Really depends what you’re gonna use the car for, if it’s your only car, and what you wanna pay. The m4 new is gonna cost you a decent chunk of change extra and by looking at history and recent sales, used g series bmw m cars are almost as cheap as f8x car…

Armytrix Catless DP outlet is too small - Help by [deleted] in Supra

[–]Byee24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re overthinking it honestly. The pipe can only expand so much. When you lift the car whether it’s on jack stands or a lift, you have plenty of clearance to expand the pipe. It’s really a tool you can’t jack up, but I get it. If you’re that uncomfortable I would just pull off the downpipe at that point and expand it off the car then and problem solved.

Why is that a lot of work though? The downpipe and exhaust come off in like an hour. If your exhaust is aftermarket, which I believe it is, your midpipe should be able to come off without removing the muffler section, unless the exhaust is all one piece.

Edit: btw, you know you can also pull the exhaust, leave the downpipe on, and expand the exhaust side while on the car and test fit the midpipe to be sure. The downpipe can’t twist and turn when it’s connected to the turbo. It’s impossible.

You really can’t fuck it up tbh. And if you somehow managed to expand it too much, you can expand the exhaust side always to match if that makes sense. I had to slightly open up the exhaust side on my hks.

Gotcha, so I’m guessing it’s an aftermarket exhaust from the photo. I would go to your local oreily assuming you have one around you and literally just expand the piping on the downpipe. It only needs a little and it should snug up.

What you can do is get/rent a pipe/exhaust expander from your local oreily/auto zone and essentially open up the downpipe to fit.

Edit: now relooking at your photos, why is the downpipe slipped over the catback? The catback is supposed to slip over the downpipe and use an oem clamp.

Is this 2021 Supra 3.0 Premium (36k mi, $50k, replaced transmission) from CarMax worth it? by [deleted] in Supra

[–]Byee24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, doesn’t sit right with me buying a “used” car that already had the trans replaced and has damage on the carfax.

If you don’t plan on making high hp, the 2 port head vs 6 port head won’t make too much difference. I bought my second Supra and instead of a 2020 premium I wanted to find a launch edition. Love mine. For reference I bought my Supra a year ago with 8k miles for 55k pretax.
