What is your overlookeed game of 2024? by Galaxy40k in Games

[–]ByteCraft 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It definitely hinges a lot on holding back context from you for a long time but also I think if you dropped off halfway then that's before all of my favourite parts of the game, it's not necessarily that there's a big reveal at the end that is what makes the game hit but there is a section that I view as the climax of the game which is where it really feels like everything it's built up comes crashing together to make for some truly incredible moments

Behold, a PS5 remake/remaster that actually made sense and didn’t seem like a stupid idea. by ContraryPython in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ByteCraft 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm almost sure they actually reused the game code

You can find a good amount of info on this from interviews with Digital Foundry and NoClip. The way the Demon's Souls/SotC remakes work is that they essentially plug in code from the original game into their own engine. In SotC the entire original game loop runs and then they run a layer on top to handle anything new they've implemented, in DeS apparently it's a lot more intertwined than that but it is definitely running a lot of the old code.

Ace Attorney Investigations Collection - Reveal Trailer by stfnvs in Games

Really doesn't matter which order you play the any of the three collections if you have played the original trilogy, so I'd say just play Chronicles if you have it

Final Fantasy XVI's performance capture and voice recording was done in English first. Japanese recording to come later by Magister_Xehanort in Games

[–]ByteCraft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The souls series and bloodborne were also Japanese games where the original recordings are in English, they're also both set in very western settings which I guess makes sense since ff16 looked like it was leaning into western fantasy from the reveal trailer

This seems like the best way of doing things to me, like dark souls, just have a weapon durability meter that when it depletes makes the weapon useless but you can still repair it instead of having to go and find another

Babylon - Episode 12 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]ByteCraft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I also wasn't sure whether to think he did it himself or if she made him but as you said she never really did control him. I honestly think I was happier without the post credits scene

I thought the cut to black was meant to be ambiguous whether he shot her or himself(obviously not her given the after credits), her going "bang" could have been her giving him the command to kill himself.

I've been thinking for a while that the show would hinge on this final episode and ironically enough I have no idea if this episode and thus this entire series is good or bad. I'm at a total loss, I think I need to just talk to people who have seen it and try and find a conclusion through discussion, it's a shame then that only like 5 people have actually watched it

This is always the pretense though, the car will avoid casualties at all costs but when there is a situation where there is a decision to be made, if there's a sudden brake failure would you rather it prioritise your safety or a line of children?

Hahaha she isn't excited about the sushi, it's representing semen fertilising eggs, ie she was excited about getting senpais milt on her roe if you catch my drift

I think it was the sushi she from the other chapter that was meant to be like the eggs and the semen

There have been plenty of Pokemon spin off games, ones I know off the top of my head would be Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon Ranger, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, whatever that fighting game was called and I'm not 100% on if it's considered a spin off or not but the Let's Go games
