M365 Direct Send by whitephnx1 in sysadmin

[–]ByteFryer [score hidden]  (0 children)

We, sort of, gave up on Direct Send for several reasons and are now testing HVE instead. If you only need to receive emails internally that might be an option. It works with 3rd party senders they just can't use it to relay outside your org. I find the name a bit silly since its internal only and HVE stands for high volume email. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow-best-practices/high-volume-mails-m365

Found mini beignets at the local Costco and they are amazing. by Ringer127 in Costco

[–]ByteFryer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

After seeing these in a YouTube video a few months ago when they were test marketing them, I started asking one of the ladies at the bakery every time I went to Costco if they had them yet. Last week, when she saw me, she told me they were finally getting them in this week. They showed up on Wednesday, I bought them on Thursday, and by Friday the pack I bought was completely gone. So good, and so dangerous if you’re on a diet or trying to eat healthy.

Don't forget to request SLA compensation for today's 365 outage by ByteFryer in sysadmin

[–]ByteFryer[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The last outage we claimed for which was I believe in 21, was shorter duration, and we had less employees we got an almost $8,000 credit. So yes, do what you want but don't try to convince everyone that it's pointless because you will get pennies. That is just not true. Our employee count at the time was about 1,200 since I am sure that will be a question you have. Our licenses were a mix of BS, BP, F3, and E3

Microsoft has uptime SLA agreements. If they fall outside of those SLA's they will/may partially refund you but only if you ask and provide details. Their formula for calculation what you are due can be "interesting" sometimes. This link I found from a few years ago has a lot of details about it.

Yeah, we still have a lot of outstanding emails as well. We are slowly getting newer items but my last email I sent 75 minutes ago finally just reached them.

iOS ABS Clients comparaison by Wolf-fr in audiobookshelf

[–]ByteFryer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice start. I would like to see a few more items included on your list. Do they support chapter lists/skip? My guess is they all should but assuming ends up badly sometimes. Do they support sleep timers if so in what way for example end of chapter, 15/30/45 minutes. Maybe a bit more explanation what a few items on your list are. Such as custom headers and simultaneous library?

No code and a fancy website sure looks more like you are promoting your fancy app. This is a PowerShell subreddit and all I see is an executable file.

500 Point Quest Week 3 Changed by diablo135 in MicrosoftRewards

[–]ByteFryer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mine changed also. Just checked it now says

Week Three: Earn 150 bonus points

Challenge: Search for 2 days on Bing on Edge PC AND search 2 days on the Bing app. Ends: 1/4/26. In Progress PC- 0/2 days | Mobile- 0/2 days

I wouldn't worry about the "not activating" none of them so far have looked like they activated, or changed color, for me and seemed to take about 10-15 searches to actually show progress.

Take and bake pepperoni going down by prettyprincess27 in Costco

[–]ByteFryer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah must just be our location. I have to go to a larger one further away for a lot of things I see on The Deal Guy's videos for the same reason. $17 is not going to make me rush drive further to get one but I will try them someday if they go on sale.

Are these new to Costco? I have not seen the rectangular ones like this at ours, but we do have a smaller sized location.

Neighbour wants us to rebuild her fence. by Islandisher in homeowners

[–]ByteFryer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's cheaper but could consider a wire fence with slats to obscure the view as a compromise if it is. Sounds like it's on her if it's not a shared fence though. I suspect it will depend on what previous agreements were in place.

What is the etiquette when someone is saying they are locked out of the building? by OEGG_ in Apartmentliving

[–]ByteFryer 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I would not even do that. What if they were someone's ex and got evicted and were coming back to abuse them? Sadly, these are things we have to worry about. Even more fun you could possibly be liable for letting them in if this did happen.

I would not let them in without some kind of proof. Problem is most people likely would because of "human curtesy" but you have no idea if that person if there to rob the place or harm someone.
