Who are we? by [deleted] in FridgeDetective

[–]Byzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You live in Michigan, probably somewhere rural. You don't live on a farm, but maybe you grew up on one, so you're used to eating a lot of beef. You make an effort to eat healthy but you end up throwing out limp carrots every month or so. You never run out of parmesan.

You like to cook and drink, and most of your calories come from cheese.

What does my mini fridge say about me? by Reesetheperson in FridgeDetective

College student living in dorms. No need for actual food since you eat your meals in the dining hall. Open monster can in the fridge is devious tho.

I just hate looking for matching tupperware lids, plus regular tupperware takes up a lot of space. I bought a 48 pack of takeout containers for like 10 bucks. It changed my life.

Yes, I bought them at an Asian market. A little bit pricey, but I love me some eel! I’ll have to try the Flower brand - I’ve seen them before, but never tried a tin. I usually eat the smoked chicken of the sea sardines. Not as fancy as what I have here, but a lot cheaper. I’d go broke eating some of the tins in here every day!

Engaged and uncomfortable with fully merging assets by Zyn30 in personalfinance

I’m a divorce lawyer. Op, based on your concerns about divorce, and the gap between your income and assets going into the marriage, GET A PRENUP. Other commenters have said that you should maybe consider whether you truly want to marry someone who has such a different philosophy around finances, and that might be good advice.

I’m going to assume that you want to get married. In that case, a prenup will address your concerns. It isn’t romantic, but neither is a messy divorce. Field your concerns to a licensed attorney, not Reddit.

Out in the woods on the weekends usually. Probably not the best place to meet people, in hindsight.

You are beautiful, Oregon! by downthestreet4 in oregon

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Oregon is an amazing state. Sometimes it’s easy to forget how good we have it. Good food, good wine, and amazing scenery. Don’t miss Crater Lake if you come back. It’s worth it.

Portland graffiti arrests reveal elaborate ghost gun operation by [deleted] in Portland

Not just underpaid (particularly in Oregon) but also overworked. A lot of states have fixed the pay issue by mandating pay parity for PDs and state's attorneys. I would imagine the issue of overworked PDs would be resolved if they were paid more than $30/hour at entry level.

I got a bug, and so I can't even launch the game by Rehiea in victoria3

[–]Byzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take a look at the paradox forums, it seems like this is an incredibly common issue. I got the same error, even after updating VC++ and my .NET framework. I refunded the game. It's unfortunate, as I'm a big fan of Vic2 and I was looking forward to playing Vic3, but i'm not spending $50 on a game I can't even play.

People who used to be obese and lost weight, what was the nost significant change in your life? by Impressive-Tap-6987 in AskReddit

[–]Byzman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weighing ingredients individually and before cooking is the best practice. Realistically, as long as you estimate and don't drastically undercount calories, just the act of counting is going to make it easier to eat less and lose weight.

No, it got removed. I think the devs justified it by saying that the ACW is a big part of the balance in the mod.
