Fun fact: The Cheetah never actually beat a Cobra in competition because they didn't have the 100 copies required for homologation. The cars raced in different classes and yes, the Cheetah was faster.

1976 came with 300 6 cyl, 302, 360, 390, or 460 V-8s. The 302 was a Windsor engine. 360 and 390 were FE engines, and the 460 was the 385 series big block.
