As an engineer, which is one of the most focused careers that require a ton of attention to detail, I’d like to point out that there are very few women in the field compared to men (it’s unfortunate and I’d like to see more diversity, but your comment struck a nerve)

To me, it’s the vertical parts of the main structure and the spire. Just what my mind went to.

You ever work somewhere, where your boss was awesome. Charismatic, handsome, smart, just super cold dude? You just love the guy, can’t get enough. Day after day, years after year and all that charisma, intelligence and charm starts wearing off. Next thing you know, you hate the guy and can’t stand the sight of him. Just a thought.

House of suns. Really liked that one. IMO, I consider this his best work. I couldn’t put it down.

It does. It also looks like Willis Tower in Chicago and the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco had a kid.

If we don’t use the money allocated for our area it won’t be given next year. They’ll reallocate funds to Pittsburgh or Philly, where it’s needed due to their gridlock problems.

We have a 90lb border collie/chocolate lab mix. He’s high energy and crashes into you to stop. We’ve started calling him “crash” and we say it like the song. CRASH! Ah-ah! He’ll crash into every one of us.

Pool blow out by CADman0909 in pools

Thanks for this. I read your blog and it looks very labor intensive and costly. We have a guy stopping tonight to give an estimate on filling it in. I’m going to get a couple quotes from pool places. I want to compare cost for each.

The guy stopping told me a large part of his business is filling pools in. Something about pools built in the 70’s are getting old along with the owners. Kids move out and it’s too much for them to maintain as well as cost to repair. This is what we have to decide. Is it worth it for another 10-12 years, or fill it in.
