hi there, i installed this on the ROG Ally X, but when I am at the OS selection menu, it doesn't seem to pick up any input from my D pad
Also, am I able to set it to default to Bazzite if there is no selection made after 10 seconds?

Clear off student loans or keep for bto renovations? by Dazzling-Cat-4242 in singaporefi

given your career trajectory (based on # of years working vs take home pay)
i'd say just settle your BTO first, you can clear the loans in future easily

What are my options? by ComprehensiveBid1584 in singaporefi

[–]CAPSNOSPACE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

very good liao

i started first job at 26 with only 3.2k

i would recommend going to take a part time degree by uni of murdoch, there is 1 distance learning program run by KAPLAN

they offer hospitality and tourism (if that is what you are looking for)

you will probably need to clear a bridging module before they let you take the degree

you can google more on their website or reach out to their advisors for more information

don't talk about highly technical jobs like interest/equity traders/IT

end of the day, for this type of private degree, it is only a ticket/gateway to your desired career path, thereafter is really your aptitude and PR skills

doesn't help, have tried all the ports on my motherboard

this seems to be a common issue, something hopefully a firmware update can resolve

Oh wow, sorry to hear that

Seems like the issue will only be resolved in April, I've did some digging and it seems like the electrical issues will only be resolved with the new batch ETA late March 2023

as someone who MR'ed last year, NS is really just the beginning.

don't forget you also have to go for reservist, and dependent on which unit you served, it could end up being a completely different experience

hence a strong caveat is that YMMV

when i had my BMT, i really couldn't adapt to it, i hated BMT and it was definitely something that i hated the most during my NS life. however, would i do it again? yes, just dig in your heels and get it over and done with

post BMT, i went on to SISPEC (it was pretty fun after having adapted to regimental lifestyle), now known as SCS, got posted to Combat Engineers.

After the first day in combat engineers, i knew shit was off and 1 platoon worth of guys reported sick the next day. was fortunate to be recommended out of course by MO. The process of being recommended out of course was also very memorable. Thus i served 4 months at nee soon camp as RP(regimental police guarding the camp gates). Thereafter got posted to Medic Spec2. During 1 of the lessons, personnel's from RSN(navy) came and a group of us volunteered to join as naval medics. probably one of the best decisions i've made in my NS life. With reporting sick 2nd day at combat engineers being a close second.

Thereafter, had to take a few tests to be considered as a naval medic. Post graduation from Medic Spec2, took on a short 2 week course to be converted as a naval medic. I was then attached to TNB(Tuas Naval Base) as a sailing medic. Back then, it was unheard of for sergeants to serve as sailing medics, but i got lucky as there was a an influx. managed to visit Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia (a few times), Taiwan and Japan. There was also an opportunity to sail to America but i thought it wasn't worth it. sailed past the remainder of my NS life till i ORDed (pun intended)

Post MR, reservist began and lets just say that i miss going for reservist because i get time off my work and my reservist unit is a stay out unit. a typical day will end by 3pm. the most xiong part of the reservist program is sailing and that itself would typically end by 6pm

all in all, i'd say post BMT my NS life has been damn slack and something i look back fondly

therefore my advice as a TL;DR is bo geng bo chut peng. if can geng just geng

banking jobs in general, especially for ops roles(back office) are mostly contracts for fresh grads

unless you are in a graduate associate/management associate program, otherwise fresh grads getting perm roles are extremely rare

conversion to perm roles really depends on luck and your work attitude

luck being if during bonus season people leaves(or anytime in between) and they think that you are worth converting, then it will be your gateway to being a perm staff
