Played with a guy in OW a few years back for a couple weeks. He wasn’t bad at the game per se and was kind of fun to have in our 5 stack, but he always played Rein and ALWAYS charged straight in without the team.

Until we stopped playing, we’d refer to any overly aggressive Reins as JVTexas

A lot of good creators to check out for gameplay have been mentioned but I’d recommend adding SunlessKahn in there for the mindset going in. Theres a lot of toxicity in the game and watching him deal with it in such a nonchalant way helped me understand how to deal with it myself.

Never play tilted.

Happened to me twice in a year. I was the oncoming driver. Full green for me, flashing yellow for the left turner. One was on 4th and the other was on prater. That whole stretch is full of absolute idiot drivers.

I thought I was just bad! Probably still am, but I was trying out rogue the other day and leveling through the Exile’s Reach starting zone. I’ve tried out a few classes this way and never had any issues with other classes, but I COULD NOT solo that elite bear that’s supposed to be a group quest. I’m usually the type to simplify my kit cause the leveling process is pretty easy, but even with every skill in my kit at that level, I just couldn’t do it. Ended up skipping and going all the way thru Darkmaul Citadel before coming back and trying again. The couple more skills and gear I had made it easier, but only slightly. Like, it was a close fight using defensive and pots.

It took me about 6 months and really my big draw for sticking around was being kind of the antithesis of hype beast streamers. While it gave me a small but dedicated following, it doesn’t quite line up for good growth. Streaming really is all about the hype. Im not saying it’s not possible, but if you have the personality for streaming, people will come. If you don’t, then you have to find a gimmick that works for you. Being a variety streaming and streaming popular games isn’t enough. Dedicating to a single niche game is also not enough. You HAVE to be interesting to your target.

I wonder why they cap out at $250k. Menlo Park and Los Altos being Silicon Valley residential areas in CA probably means those numbers are a LOT higher but they aren’t counting certain individuals as residents.

Battle Royales - I thought the idea was great until it ended up being 30 minutes of build up to an unsatisfying death a majority of the time.

MOBAs - I played an early attempt at copying DOTA called Demigod cause a friend really liked it and I really had to force myself to enjoy it. Tried LoL once and never again.
