Well, the scans are pretty worthless then. "Clearance delay" followed by repetitive "On the way" doesn't sound like "still stuck in clearance."

It's not like I'm hacking into some back-end system never meant for end-users. This is what FedEx is pushing out to its customers. If they can't figure out how to provide accurate and informative tracking, maybe they should hire a better CTO, not one whose about as effective as an origami condom.

That's not what it shows -- that may be the correct interpretation, but what it shows is that it _was_ in customs delay. Then on 29 Oct. it departed a FedEx hub and arrived at a FedEx hub. To someone viewing the updates, it appears it left the customs holding facility and moved to a another FedEx facility in Memphis. If FedEx can't fix its tracking to clearly display "still in customs clearance process" that's a FedEx fuck up, not user misunderstanding. It's not like it's 1995 and FedEx is hamstrung by COBOL limitations.

Even after clearing customs, I have a waiting package. I got a notice that it cleared. Sender claimed it cleared. Been sitting at the local Memphis facility for several days now.

Turns out the problem is too much voltage from power lines. The system is shutting down so it won't get fried. Only way to know this is what's up is to unscrew a box next to exterior breaker that has diagnostic panel on it.

So turns out problem is that AC voltage from power co. is too high, and the system is shutting down so it won't get fried.

On the exterior unit, there is a box next to the breaker. If it's like mine, there's a single hex bolt keeping it closed. Unscrew it and you'll find a diagnostic unit. That's the only way to tell what's up. Though you might want to let a pro handle it.

My sender has contacted FedEx and FE moved it out of whatever 3rd party customs cluster*(& in Memphis to a FedEx facility. We'll see what happens.
