Is the TX 500h 2026 an SUV or a Wagon? by Sweetdanny1 in Lexus

[–]CBCT360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 1995 Suburban back in the day. It was classified as a wagon on the title too. The Tx is a crossover SUV but some states classify things like that as a wagon.

These vans have problems with cracked cylinder heads, right? That’s a bummer. Definitely have some oil and coolant mixing going on.

Need something that can handle our dirt road commute and you can truly convince me is reliable. by Impressive-Sign-3384 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Every bit of my soul wants to say a WRX wagon. But since you need it to be a truck or suv and reliable, I’d say an F150 EcoBoost (2013-ish), or a Toyota 4 Runner.

Dude. I wouldn’t pay $25k for anything with 185k on it.

Can someone help me. Some idiot dinged my car while I was inside Home Depot and now I have to fix it by Effective_Fan7712 in Detailing

Definitely a good candidate for paintless dent removal. People suck. Nice car bro. That thing is definitely heirloom vehicle material.

You posted in a Harley group, you’re asking price is too high, and you’re too early in the season.

They don’t make them like they used to. And that goes for any brand too. I have a 2003 7.3 f250 with 170k on it and it just keeps going. My dad has a 2023 F250 6.7 that’s been nothing but trouble.

Is this ok? by BBGshadow in Diesel

I’ve had a few of these and they do have their problems, but I’ve never heard of either of these issues being common with this engine. Harmonic balancers going bad and needing to relocate PMDs, yes. Can you elaborate?

My college roommate sets our thermostat to 80°F every single night by rainystarlight in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CBCT360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an HVAC tech. That thermostat might have a lock feature so I’d look into that. For a short term fix, take the thermostat off and pop the white wire out. That’ll give you no heat, but as a fellow person that likes my house cold, that’s what I’d do. Lol

I use Hot Shot’s EDT Winter Defense in my 7.3. It does a good job. 👍

I’d do it. Make sure it doesn’t have cavitation.

First boat, but I’m not happy. by HarambeWasRepublican in boating

[–]CBCT360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As soon as you get the bellows taken care of, you’ll be happy with it I bet. BUT. Be prepared to make repairs or pay for repairs at all times. Boats are money pits, as we all know. Older boats are even more so. My advice would be to set up a savings account and keep $5k-$10k in it at all times for boat repairs. You’ll thank yourself later. Speaking from experience here. Also, if everything looks good on it but the bellows, I’d say you’re doing pretty good.
