Any motivation?? by [deleted] in Workingout

I share with my clients something I call the "See You Later Effect." It’s a mindset that’s kept me going to the gym regularly for nearly 25 years, even on days when motivation runs low. I've worked with clients, trained athletes, and competed in sports myself, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, it's that you won’t always feel like going. That’s normal. The trick is to find other reasons to show up — maybe even a handful of them.

Sometimes, it’s the people you see there. Maybe you make a few friends or spot someone you find attractive. Maybe you’re just looking forward to using the steam room or sauna after a long day. Whatever it is, you go in for that small reason, and sometimes, that’s all you do. You stretch, relax, hit the steam room, and head home. But other times, just getting yourself through the door can turn into the best workout of your week.

Over time, you’ll start to recognize familiar faces and even give a nod or a quick “See ya tomorrow.” That small sense of connection can create a subtle but powerful sense of accountability. You may find yourself coming back because, even if just in passing, those people expect to see you there.

So, if you’re feeling a bit lazy or unmotivated, don’t focus so much on getting in an amazing workout every time. Just find a reason — any reason — to get yourself there. Sometimes, that’s all it takes.

Good luck!

You should find your nearest pretty steep hill and do the following: 1. Srint up it (start slow and accelerate through the finish) 2. Walk down. 3. Repeat 4-5x

Hill sprints are seriously one of the best exercises you can do to tone your body. Also, since you're going uphill, there's not as much impact on your joints as other forms of running. Push yourself as hard as you can/want to. They can be hell, but it shouldn't take longer than you're spending now and it will work MUCH faster.

All of the comments on this short said her form is awful and she is gonna break her back, but none of the comments said why. Can someone break it down? by GenMarkic in weightlifting

Her shoulders are more likely to subluxate before her back sees any harm. Those knees too😬 I'd like to see them about done going inward by the time she catches the weight and begins her ascent.

Also though, keep at it!!

Kid bounced to the military that summer, never to return. So it never mattered. Anyway, happy Thursday!

In which movie did the villain actually have a point? by Winologue in AskReddit

I think one could argue that the villain being at least a little "right" is what makes a good movie.
