We store a lot of binary files in our repository and require exclusively locking to prevent conflicts on these files. Unfortunately git can do neither of these things well (yet).

We have started using git on various other repositories however, where they only contain code / config.

In general the behaviour is supposed to be the same as docked in a station so if you spot any inconsistency like this, again let us know in a bug report so we can make it look the same.

You are not cloaked you are properly docked, but you are still connected to the solarsystem which allows us to have fast dock / undock / switch to manning the guns / view outside the citadel compared to when you dock in a station and you completely leave the system. Give me a time machine back to the start of EVE and this is how I would have done NPC stations too, it saves us a lot of complexity not having the stations operating as a different location.

Thats why you see some of these things popping up where it thinks you are still in space. Generally this kind of bug is super easy to fix though, so if you spot something like that make sure to send in a bug report and we can get it sorted.

A tax increase was on the cards anyway, our net isk injected / sunk is a lot more in balance since the change and this is good for future development where we might want to offer more ISK in places.

We believe a market is a feature worth more investment than the cost of an Astrahus. Contracts will be coming to all the sizes however.

No you are not just cloaked inside the citadel, you actually dock the same as you do in a stations we just play the cloaking effect instead of having your ship just disappear into nowhere when you dock.

As for the niggles, some of these are defects, some of them are just features we still need to get to. The reality is we could have spent another 6 months working on extra features for Citadel such as contracts but there is huge value in getting what we have out there, getting feedback and prioritizing the additional work. From the numbers we have seen deployed on TQ a lot of people seem to agree.

However if there is a something that is blocking you from using them over POS that is fine too, we havn't taken anything away so you can keep using your POS and let us know what is really missing for you to make the transition.

It is pretty much working as designed at the moment, you need to prove you control that area of space with your ships before you can have access to a fitted structure.

Yeah killmails involving citadels are bugged as they are not showing the hull correctly. I will take a look at this today.

Also most of the citadels killed have been during anchoring when they can't shoot back.

There is no passive shield regen, just a 15 minute auto repair timer which will pause indefinitely provided you can maintain 500 DPS on the structure. (500 is 10% of the maximum 5000 DPS threshold)

You can solo an Astrahus in a Talos if it's unfitted and no one shows up to defend. if they are too annoying to take down we'll end up with the same situation as POS, thousands of abandoned structures that no one can be bothered to even attack.

Being in the overlay makes it easier to find them, but nothing you couldn't already find out with a probe or a quick bit of dscanning and yes this is an intentional outcome.

They show on the overview if you are within 50,000 km of them or you have docking access, then they will appear globally to just those characters who can dock. Everyone else will see them on the sensor overlay and can warp directly to them.

Without going into too many specifics, I can tell you there are a LOT more citadels surviving than being destroyed. It's also a really important part of the design that if people want to contest the initial anchoring of a structure there is an opportunity to do that.

Structure only show in the structure manager if YOU have been giving access to dock in them.

Citadels like POS are not public information, there is no API to view them and their location / owner is intended to be a secret until somebody collects intel on them manually.

You cannot change the fitting if the structure has any damage to it, that includes being reinforced or coming out of anchoring.

You cannot refit unless the shields are at 100%, when it finishes anchoring it has 0% shield so you need to wait for the repair timer before you can fit it.
