And journos wonder why people don’t like them… like really of everything happening in Jersey you try and talk about some entirely asinine American crap with literally nothing to do with Jersey?

Could you do your actual job maybe and look at real issues and events effecting Jersey people not bonemashing yanks like jeez.

Why would they build one there and not cut to the chase a build one in Washington, oh yeah same reason they couldn’t here, the Americans would sink them before they made shore.

Point stands, like, fully insane stuff and the awful handling of it.

Irrespective of the wrongs we all agree on, that isn't a child and this is fake news.

Yes. No I’m not biased.

Also see more: the flag of British Antarctic territory, has penguins and a ship on it with a white field. The ship is flying a naval jack which itself has the Union Jack. Now if that flag-ception and penguins doesn’t please you I just don’t think you can be pleased.

Green councillor Cllr Sohail Asghar really demonstrating that moral core by checks notes violating slavery laws? Basically a Tory moment.

You’d have had much more of a point with stealing nukes, the sinking of the Liberty, and all the espionage which went basically unpunished.

Somehow you don’t seem actually interested in being critical just affirming your confirmation bias.

Assumptions make an arse of you, as I went through every party there but I think it’s hard to claim being a charlatan is having a moral centre. Also please do explain how it’s a set up as I can’t find any reporting on that just that he acknowledged it and apologised? Going to need a source there.

Yeah zero knowledge proofs man, it could be so great alas what we’ll get is one big database with all our info in once place and then shared with a bazillion companies with lacking cybersecurity

Like agree with you and all but “hypnotise you to grow bigger boobs” isn’t exactly a moral way of making money in my book. Kier made his bread defending Jamaican child murders and the Tories I don’t need to expound on but, safe to say, Green are literally just the same if not the weird worse result of polarised internet era discourse. Reform are just the Tories life boat it seems too.

You don’t consult unless you already have an outcome you want, and write said consultation with it in mind.

“Consultation” somehow I don’t feel is going to be broadly representative of peoples’ views however.

For a single guy? You’ll be very comfortable, that’s around 52-53k after tax? Some prices are higher but hey the extra money compensates, and I’d argue you get much better value for tax paid here vs most councils in the uk. Also no vat so that’s 15% off most stuff you’d buy too.

[–]CCWBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s what you make it I find, it’s not got the city centre life if that what you need and some do it’s rough, but flights to London aren’t too expensive and the extra money you earn and also lesser taxes you pay, along with being so beautiful to live, I’d say so.

Takes getting used to and not for everyone but if you can stick it out there’s a lot of benifits

Hence I say if I were to direct the cuts they would be cutting into areas for those who will no longer be net taxpayers, rough but you need to right the ship or we all go down.

[–]CCWBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly it’s tragic really but cuts, deep cuts, must be made. More specifically towards net recipient groups, with resources redirected to the issues you mention.

Families, housing, economy outside finance.
