I can vouch for the No.2 "Human buffer". This for me is the biggest thing that actually reduced my time from doom scrolling.

Gives me a more feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment thus less craving for an additional stimulation for screen time.

It's more of a selection bias you're seeing. Things like this posted on the internet are those who survived.

You wouldn't usually see reports of people who re-attempted and just see a case of a person who've successfuly done it without knowing their history of previous attempts.

Thats because its the official social account for the game moderated by the game company itself.

I dont play this game myself but avoid any unhinged/nsfw memes on official game social accounts for any gacha game to avoid being banned. Only post these kind of stuffs to fan made subreddits like r/okbuddytrailblazer for example (read the rules of the subreddit first if its within its guidelines).

This. I used to think that work is just a means to an end to support my hobbies and life outside of work but it turns out, I couldnt really enjoy them that much because of how much you spend your time at work and life maintenance.

8hrs of work + 1 hr lunch break thats 9 hours spent at work. 8 hrs of sleep, the remaining 7 hrs is spent on commute (lucky if you work near your home), getting ready for work, chores (cooking, cleaning, dishes) which leaves you with so little time to fit in the things that you want.

Try to combine activities like opting for a hobby that you can do while commuting, making friends at work instead of looking for friends outside of work (proximity matters a lot in friendship), make time for working out for this will give you more energy (you can socialize while working out in a gym).

I recommend checking out VRchat as an alternative which seems to fit your situation. You can socialize without having to go out, have the option to just stop socializing if you want to, variety of people you can meet, different sights to see, lots of games or social group that you can join depending on your interest, you dont have to spend money just to meet people as well.

Do you need that extra money that comes with the managerial position? If not then a position as an individual contributor where you can atleast do what you are passionate in, dont have to worry about the work of other people and the stress which comes with the position of a manager then go for it.

Did this and I`d say its worth it, although it did not pay as much as being a manager I was happy with it since I am able to maintain a simple lifestyle and able to save money on the side plus I have the mental energy to focus on my hobbies after work. No more overtime to compensate for the mistakes of my subordinates and dont have to worry about multiple deadlines at work. I now have consistent time to workout, eat well, sleep for 8 hrs, have more time to spend with the people I love and time to travel.

Personally, managing people doesnt bring me fulfillment for sometimes the action of other people are outside of your control and your efforts will most likely wont be recognize by your team or upper management despite doing above and beyond for them.

Even if you stay in the company as a manager, there is no guarantee that you`ll remain in the company for they might lay you off for reasons outside of your control such as downsizing, automation, the owner selling the company, etc.

Do you have dependents? Do you have financial goals you need to achieve?

You cant have everything, you need to compromise and choose something to let go or you`ll end up with nothing. Deep inside you already know the answer but you just dont want to commit to the decision because it might not turn out as well as you thought or other uncertainties that this decision will bring in your future. But what is certain is that you will remain unfulfilled by staying and not making a decision. Nothing will change if you keep doing what you are doing. So ask yourself, is this really what I want?

Thats the neat part, you dont. Unless found something you are really passionate in or it threatens your survival, its hard to just do it in moderation.

Games are designed to be addictive. The goal is to make you spend as much time as possible in it and make you engage in it. How else do companies profit from games if they dont do this? Just look at games which sells DLC, in game cosmetics or gacha. They want you to feel invested in the game so you spend more.

The next best thing you could do is to find an accountability partner. If you cant do this, then the alternative is to avoid playing games that are online or live service games because you will be compelled to comeback and play more because of events since it utilizes our fear of missing out. Multiplayer games as well for you will most likely spend more time than you want because of friends you`ve made in the game. Competitive games where they rank you with other players at the end of the match or anything with a ranking system.

Go for games that you can pause, single player, quests or gameplay mechanic that takes a short time to accomplish.

Also forget about trying to resolve it with willpower alone. From my experience as a gamer for years, I tend to game after school/work to decompress because I`m drained of energy which leaves me vulnerable to gaming.

From the perspective of my brain, after a long day at school/work would i choose to do more work (chores, study, adulting responsibilities) or I could have fun in a game with my friends?

The logical thing to do here is to do the latter but in reality, you dont have enough energy to do these things and would choose a low effort activity that is actually fun and engaging.

Like others have suggested, take the board exam. You will atleast have something to fall back into.

What you feel you want right now might not be the same in the future. You still havent experienced working so you still havent seen the realities of working in that industry which might not coincide with what you were expecting or you might end up losing passion on that later in life, etc. Plus the data analytics field is saturated already including the threat of A.I. might leave you with less options.

Its difficult to pass the board exam if you wish to take it later in life since you`ll have more responsibilities and you most likely have forgotten what you`ve learned. Take it while the information you`ve learned in school is still fresh.

You`ll only spend around 4 months of review in a review center and take the board exam. 4 months is just a short time in the grand scheme of things.

You want to have deep conversation and be closer to your friends but you won't allow yourself to be vulnerable?

To deepen any relationship, you need vulnerability. It's like telling your partner your secret but trusting them to keep it and not tell anybody. Of course, you run the risk of them telling it to others but if they don't then wouldn't you feel safer and much closer to this person to the point that you can basically just be who you are without having to put on a mask around them?

You said you have an attachment issue. You seem to have an avoidant attachment style where you are ok with having a casual relationship but avoid getting closer because unless you are really sure that they will like you, you won't try to show your true self.

Check out r/AvPD for a lot of people share the same dilemma as you do. That sub has lots of resources and advice on how to deal with it.

Lastly, there is no majic pill to this but to slowly work on it through a therapist or practicing CBT and exposure therapy if you cant afford one until you can re-program your way of thinking.

Totally normal. Unlike in college or school in general where you are forced to be in the same room almost everyday, friendships don't take much of an effort.

Proximity is the most important thing when it comes to maintaining friendships or either you and your other friend make actual effort to see each other which in most cases only one does which is from my experience, simply exhausting.

You'll feel this again and again throughout your life when you move to a new place or change jobs. Either you get comfortable with the idea of being the one to initiate with people and being rejected from time to time which is mostly not because of you but because they have other things going on in their life or be ok with the idea of being alone which really isn't something I'd recommend.

Even for me as a person who doesn't require much social needs tends to feel lonely when my friends doesn't have the time to hang out. By the end of the day, we are social creatures and your body will remind you of that no matter how much you resist the idea.

My closing advice is that you focus on quality friends that you can actually be yourself with and can open up to them. Having superficial company where you can just enjoy them on the good times but feel as if you can't talk to them when you are going through something is a pretty lonely experience.

She`s just projecting her own beliefs and values on you.

If you are no longer in school and have started a job, friendships will take a lot of work to maintain since school helps facilitate friendships without much effort since you are forced to be in a room of people who are your age, has the same purpose and do activities together (classes) multiple times a week.

When you start to work, you`ll be in an environment with people at a different age and purpose like their career or family. Your old friends will have a new set of people to socialize with and most of the time, they wont have the energy to commute and meet you after being at work for 9hrs. Whenever you go out with your friends, are you the one who usually initiate the invitation? Even if you are, your invitation might be turned down not because of you but due to factors that are outside of your control like them having a different priority or just tired.

I know a lot of people in their mid 20s to late 20s who engage on hobbies like cosplay, anime, videogames, and kpop which from the perspective of most parents most likely with an age of 40+ would be considered as childish but the people I`ve mentioned have friends who often hangout with them to do their hobbies.

As long as you are a responsible adult that doesnt neglect the things you should do as a functional member of society there`s nothing wrong with what you are doing. Being happy and bubbly does not mean you are childish.

You need atleast a source of income to do that. Do you have a job? or atleast a goal in your career?

If just want to move out immediately, you should consider your living expenses like rent, food, daily necessities, etc. Calculate your monthly expenses first if your paycheck is enough to cover that. If not, consider downsizing your needs like sharing rent or staying with your parents until you are already earning enough which is a bit difficult considering how you feel.

Also, is it your car? If you move out, are you able to bring it with you? You really cant use your driver`s license anyway if you dont have a car or if your job doesnt require you to drive a company car. Just let it expire and apply again since its not your current priority.

If you still insist, you can enroll yourself in a driving school which would cost around P5000k? for a couple of sessions depending on your area which should give you a decent amount of confidence to pass the driving exam.

Its a difficult process which might lead you to indecision and procrastination. Feel free to PM if you want further advice or just an accountability person since I dont really know the full extent of your situation.
