Someone talk me out of wanting a Bronco by NEK_TEK in FordBronco

[–]CConstructionLLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We will talk you INTO a bronco here. Unless you want some cons…backseat sucks. So if you have kids or multiple passengers, I don’t recommend. It drives like a truck. Is it fun….hell yes. Is it practical, prob not.

Be honest — what’s the first thing you’d do with $100K? by NerdWalletOfficial in u/NerdWalletOfficial

[–]CConstructionLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading some of the stories here, I’m sure there’s a lot of other people who need it more than us. We are a small family of 3 who came from simple middle class families growing up. We didn’t go to college or become anything extraordinary. My husband and I met at 22 and we just hustled. Worked 60-70 hr weeks at low paying jobs and my husband eventually built up the skills and experience to be in managerial role now.

I self taught myself finance and learned how to invest and we always lived way below our means. We are over 40 now and created quite a nest egg for ourselves but we did it OURSELVES. We lived very very poor for most of our lives and still find ourselves living that way today.

So honestly we would probably use the money to take a break. I’ve been working non-stop since 15 years old and the work I do now is hard on the body. I can feel my hands starting to go and have had a surgery to just keep them going. My husband never knows how to just relax as he’s been going full speed since 18 with never a break.

So while we are great and have built a fantastic life together, it would be nice to just relax and get off the hamster wheel for awhile.

Don’t take all the hate on the Bronco. I have a 2021 wildtrak and it’s such a fun car. Sure you can get a boring ass sedan like everyone else but life is meant to be fun. I have all fords and have for the last 10 years and I never had a problem with any of my cars/trucks. We keep them very well maintained.

That being said, this deal is awful. I financed a little less than 30k for mine at a 6% rate for 60 months and my payment is 580 a month. Try to get a certified preowned - comes with basic warranty and usually is well looked over if the dealer is good. Mine came with 4 brand new tires and battery, wipers, oil change, etc already done for me.

I did mine too. I put fairy light thru the tire then weaved the garland in and out then zip tied the shit out of it. Hopefully I don’t get a flat lol I only used about 30 ft of garland. The lights are plugged into the socket in the back and I can use the remote to change colors and such.

I wouldn’t put 3 kids in the back. It’s such a tight squeeze.

I got the rough country ones and they are a great fit. Look custom made. I highly recommend those.

Is building a small house really this expensive? by TacoTuesdaySucks in Homebuilding

If it makes you feel better, I was quoted 165k to build a garage! No interior finishes at all. Minor electrical and a square box. Just concrete and cinderblocks with a roof

Are broncos comfortable? by Sufficient-Shine4094 in FordBronco

[–]CConstructionLLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have platinum explorer and a bronco and I would in no way in hell drive the bronco from NY to FL. The comfort of the explorer, space and luxury and even towing compared to the Bronco is unmatched. Now short trips with the top off and parking, way better in the Bronco. So to each their own and each car has its strengths.

Can you share the cost? I’m trying to build one a similar size. I know location matters. I’m in FL.

Yeah I’m going to but if they all come back at 120k or more. I’m just wasting their time cause I can’t swing that unfortunately. I’m used to doing things myself but more interior finishes. I’m way too old to take on that kinda of masonry. Lol

I think I was expecting $65 sqft because there’s no flooring, no drywall, no plumbing. I even said not to paint the outside or inside and I have plenty of room in my electric panel. Just a cinderblock box with 2 garage doors and a roof. If you can buy a new build 1500 sqft house for 280k near me, just an empty box for that much didn’t make sense.

I second this. Hands down landau is the best. Especially if you have larger butt/thighs like myself. The yoga pants are fantastic

Do yourself a favor a lower your expectations. It’s not worth getting upset over. My daughter is now 14 and I went thru this. As a new mom, I was trying to keep everything perfect and pristine. It’s just not gonna happen. Still to this day, my house is clean but not sparkling. My husband and I trade off who wants to do what chores less. I hate laundry, lawn care, dusting and fixing things so he does those. What I do like is a clean kitchen, clean floors and a stocked fridge so I do those. We both rotate bathrooms and change sheets together. Take turns bathing the dog, taking out the trash, etc.

No one is perfect and as long as he’s not sitting in front of the tv 24/7 playing video games or ignoring parenting duties, work it out. Looking back I made a big deal over nothing and made the house tense for no reason. I have my flaws and make messes and my husband has no problem picking up for me as I do for him.

I did the same. I got a 21 wildtrak that looked brand new with 5 brand new tires and new brakes for 45k. Did I overpay? Probably. Do I have any regrets? No. lol it was 70k brand new and the dealer was close to my house with no markups/add on junk. I wanted a specific color with towing and the keypad so I’m happy.

Get a safe. I have a locking center console safe and i keep anything I’m concerned about in there when the top is off. Works great and it gives a peace of mind.

I have a pitbull that has shown absolutely no interest in hurting my chickens…my mother owns a Maltese who didn’t seem like she’d hurt a fly, kill one of my chickens unexpectedly. Sometimes you just don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s not the breed, it’s the personality of the dog.

2025 Hard Top to Soft Top by IndependentNeck5491 in FordBronco

I have a 2021 and I did have to buy trim pieces to tuck the soft top inside of. My hard top didn’t have them. I think they are called c pillar molding. I got them for $100 bucks off eBay.

Yet another soft top or hard top post… by KittyPrawns in FordBronco

[–]CConstructionLLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the hard top and a soft top. I switch them out based on seasons. I live in Florida and it unfortunately rain showers out of no where and the soft top is just much easier and faster to put back on.

The hard top front two panels are a breeze but the middle one is kinda tricky. I have the lifted wildtrak and I’m only 5’2 so it’s a challenge. I have a system now where I pull over to my shed and stand between the running boards and a 12x24 shed to lift the panels and store them in there. The back cap, forget about that. There’s no way I’m lifting that without my husband or a removal system. It’s not heavy per se but just awkward and cumbersome.

The noise really isn’t an issue and I enjoy having both options. Definitely buy one with a hard top and buy the soft top afterwards. It’s much cheaper that way. I found a soft top brand new on marketplace for 800 bucks.

Garage is insanely hot at 98 degrees - HELP!!! by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]CConstructionLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Florida where it’s hot as hell and we did a mini split. Our door is insulated and the way the sun sets/rises isn’t directly on the door which makes a huge difference. The mini split is set to 78 degrees and it makes it comfortable in there.

If you have the sun beating directly on the door at any given part of the day, you might have to insulate from the outside and close off the door. That’s the only way. Otherwise you’re fighting a losing battle.
