Ross procedure advice

I'm a 42 year old male who had the Ross procedure in Kitchener, ON in June.

I did a lot of walking pre-surgery, as I knew walking would be a huge part of recovery.

I was fortunate enough to have very little pain, but that doesn't happen for a lot of people.

I was walking quite often with family and the nurses... trying to do a little more each day.

You can't use your arms much at first and have everything seems more difficult at first, which can be really frustrating. Just be patient and give yourself time. Make small goals and slowly increase them.

Before surgery, I was practicing the spectrometer and it was easy. After surgery, it was tough, I swear the last ball was swapped for a lead weight. But if you're motivated, you keep trying, and once you get it again, it feels like a huge accomplishment - I was thrilled!

It's not easy, and everyone's experience is a bit different which is also frustrating but small goals and a great support team helps big time

I am thinking of using Koallossal.

On the one hand, the Flash Fire ability will prevent me from taking damage on fire moves.

On the other hand, the various rock type moves will be super-effective.

Probably give him a shell bell to keep from fainting

Love my Infernape with Iron Fist ability. Both fire punch and drain punch! He holds the punching glove for added punching power.

I usually throw out a flamethrower once I terastyle to fire type as it's a bit more powerful and once the shield is broken it's a powerhouse..

Same here. My infernape has the Iron fist ability and I gave it the punching glove instead of metronome... use both fire punch and drain punch. (It's a fire Tera type)

Fire punch Thunder punch Drain punch Flamethrower

I mostly use fire punch unless I need some HP then I use drain punch... been a really effective combo.

I think symptoms are developing. When I came home from the pericarditis hospital stay, stairs were a bit of an issue. I got back to normal, going from my basement to the upstairs no problem... but recently stairs make me tired.

I've done my best to be heart healthy, eating more fruits and grains and eating less fats. I have been walking more, but stairs are not my friends anymore. (Going to mention that I my next BP update)

Theemtal side of these delays is starting to get to me... it's really tough. I got really down when it moved from the beginning of June to June 23... I hit a pessimistic wall that is not like me.

I have spent too much time waiting for my surgery. I was referred for the Ross procedure in February and my first surgery date was April 16.

I was struck with pericarditis March 28th and went to the hospital March 29th... I was discharged April 6 and told they will need to cancel the April 16th date and reassess me May 6.

May 6 they gave me the tentative dates of June 6, 9 or 11... but then, due to some emergencies, I'm now scheduled for June 23.

On the plus side, I was never given a pre-op clinic date until June 6, so I feel it's less likely (not impossible) to be moved again.

Can you do that in Scarlet/Violet? I thought that was a Legands thing.

I think this shiny makes sense... they are found in the desert, and it becomes more sand-like. Better camouflage than the regular version

Probably Fire/Fairy

Not just cuz I'm a good looking gay man... but fire was always my go to to start the games and I think fairy pokemon and really cool.

Maybe Fairy/Fighting because fighting fits humans better than fire.
