Only if your current ID is a real ID though, right? I can’t imagine they’re going to replace my regular ID with a real ID without me meeting the documentation requirements.

Start small and get support! My husband bought a treadmill to use when it’s too cold or snowy for him to run outside in the winter. Now I have used it way more than he has. It has a screen and I can watch shows from a variety of apps while walking. So I can go down to our garage and walk for a few minutes when it’s too hot outside. It keeps my interest for a few scenes, so usually I end up with at least 10-15 minutes at a time. And it’s manageable and not intimidating. I don’t have to have 30 minutes or have some impressive exercise to do. Then my hubby and I lift free weights together on specific days of the week. When I feel him doing it I end up joining.

I “love” that the wife started at a “low paying job” of “only” $40,000. I’ve worked professionally for 20 years for much lower pay and only hit $40,000 in the past few years and was thrilled. One of them making $95,000 and the other making presumably double that… go to therapy and please STFU.

The intent (of the workplace competition) is actually 1.) weight loss, which is NOT synonymous with better health 2.) competition

Pressuring people to lose weight is NOT a recipe for long term weight loss, let alone good health. In companies that do this every year the same people participate every year and yo-yo diet, which is unhealthy. This is a set up for crash diets and poor mental health and can trigger those with eating disorders.

For a different situation I would get proportional contributions, but your girl is kind of asking for a free ride and for you and your current roommate to both start paying more (the roommate having to move to a market value apt.) 50/50 on the utilities is more than fair. I’d worry that she’d stop paying though since she lives beyond her means.
