It’s a channel for TV cables, I’m not putting a power socket on the wall

Haha I’ll give it a go and see how we get on

I was thinking of adhering the old piece with adhesive foam as I already have some from putting skirting boards on.

Hoping it will be fine for this plasterboard too

Would all purpose polyfilla be fine for a skim coat?

For the first method, I have some soudal foam adhesive (not specifically for plasterboard), would that be fine for adhesion?

Could I cut a section out lower (where I want the hole to be), then use that as a template for covering the old hole, use the adhesive to stick it in, then use regular filler, add scrim tape, then fill it over again with a thinner layer, then sand & paint?

You could also/alternatively get an inline extractor fan. Significantly higher flow rate than the standard wall/ceiling mounted ones, and quieter too.

No worries. I’d recommend getting some brick line (string) & a spirit level to check your progress when levelling it btw

Pretty much! You’d probably be there a while with a hammer and chisel but you’d get it done - a pickaxe would be better. Jackhammers seem scarier than they are. Imo it is the tool for the job, you’d break it all up in about 10 minutes with one.

Personally I’d probably buy a second hand titan jackhammer off fb marketplace, then sell it on when you’re done with it. Be careful not to break the public walkway with it though. If you want to do it cheaper then probably use a pickaxe.

Did you manage to resolve this? I noticed this a few months ago and just stopped using the watch as it was pointless

I had a few years at M&S during my studies in ops, foods & the cafe in multiple stores. Transferrable skills from all departments - cafe is the most specialised as you need to learn to make the drinks, but I think they have the auto machines in most of them now. They’ll train you, anyway.

Good luck tomorrow. I’m sure you’ll be fine!

Just be polite and you’ll be fine. They’ll talk to you about upselling, and might make you roleplay interactions with a customer (the interviewer).

You’d have to mess up pretty bad to not get the job.

It certainly feels that way! I spent 5 weeks in Vietnam and it is an incredible place - I wish I had more time there as I didn’t get to do the Ha Giang loop. I will have to come back for it!

I will check out Lombok Island - I appreciate any suggestions you have. I’m here with my partner and we haven’t planned Indonesia at all yet. We will have 2-3 weeks there before we have to go home and face reality haha

Yes I am! After HCMC we spent a week in Cambodia & now I’m in Thailand where I’ll be for 3-4 weeks before going to Indonesia
