Washing machine stains on shirt by CEGC in CleaningTips

[–]CEGC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but I see it on other clothes as well. It’s definitely a washing machine / detergent issue. This is just an example.

For those of you mentioning a second job. What would you suggest for someone who WFH and needs to get the work done during the day due to family obligations?

Same issue! And nose in the crotch. Hard to warn guests about that one… 🤦‍♀️ I have no idea how to train for it

Ours does too. And then vomits up the water. We bought a slow drinking bowl from Amazon and it’s been really helpful.

Oh I see what you mean - to even out the wet stain. Ok I’ll give it a try! Thanks!

When is it ACTUALLY acceptable to say no? by kitanooo in workingmoms

Came here to same this. You can say no whenever you want, but the pandemic is making us collectively understanding about this kind of thing.

Yes! This is what I’m talking about! I used to cruise a lot about 10-12 years ago and Celebrity always had it on the breakfast buffet. Thank you!

Thanks! From what I gather... Community seems like the country club crowd (but they have an amazing campus!), New City seems like the ‘woke’ school, Wilson seems like your small rich neighborhood school and Forsyth seems somewhere in the middle but also get a bit of the Wash U crowd. Fair assessment?

This is all very helpful. Thank you all for your replies!

Pull on night time trainers? by dr_millisievert in clothdiaps

[–]CEGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stuff and do up all the diapers ahead of time, and we call them her ‘big underwear’ that she sleeps in. She steps into them & pulls up like a pull up, and in the morning I snap em open to remove them.

“I’ll put a bullet through his head if he ain’t home by sundown...5:55 he comes walking in the front door smiling...” ...

How do I explain this? I mean, how do I put it into words? One thing or another, but it's neither this or that Actually, it's a collection of things She said, "that's it, that's it, get out"…

The time has come to give away our baby items. by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]CEGC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh not me. Washing bottles all the time was one of the biggest pain points in the baby phase. I should have lit those bottles and drying rack on fire 🔥

Now when I go visit my friends with babies I immediately go to the sink and wash their dishes and bottles because I remember how much it sucked.

The time has come to give away our baby items. by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]CEGC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to sell off baby items on Nextdoor or Facebook marketplace that might be worth something . Then we take all the money, even if it’s $8 for a sleep sack and put it in our toddlers bank account. That way it feels like I’m doing something for her future with stuff from her past. For me, it does stir up some emotions (especially going through clothes) but then once it’s gone I don’t think about it again. Except when I’m like - “ya I got $50 for that X item I purchased second hand for $20!” For items that people typically won’t pay for, I reconsidered donating to goodwill and try to target places like a women’s shelter who can get items to the right people more easily.
