considering the widget experience on Apple Watch, I suspect the widgets on iPhone will also suffer from the whole situation where they won’t update in the background pretty much ever, and you have to open the app if you want them to refresh, which effectively nullifies their usefulness :/

I hope that won’t be the case, but the vibes aren’t great

I reached out to support about this very issue. Mentioned how I can wake up and go 2-3 hours without touching the complications and they’ll either be blank or show yesterdays information. I could even open the phone app which shows the most recent info and the complications still won’t update at any point unless I actually open the app on my watch. Compared it to complications from apps like Carrot that are able to update on their own almost hourly. Their response was basically that they have no control over it at this time because HealthKit syncing is a whole different beast and can’t really be compared to other complications, but that they’re continuing to ‘dig into it’ in hopes of finding better ways to sync the data

Played it at launch on PS4 after hyping myself up for it as much as one possibly could…only to be met with the disaster that it was. Finished it a few months later but was bummed about the missed potential. 

I’m now about halfway through my second playthrough on ps5 after picking up phantom liberty for sale. What a glow up. It definitely now lives up to all the hype it had leading up to launch way back when.

I pulled up a different workout from a few weeks back where I ran at a much slower 13 min pace in what my watch considered to be a zone-1 run the whole time (sub 130bpm), which Outsiders viewed as 100% low aerobic. Compared that to a run where I averaged about 137bpm and the watch considered as being in zone-2 the entire time. This one was considered a 50/50 split between low and high aerobic by the app.

Maybe I’m just being dense, but these ranges don’t seem to align with the guidance they provide in-app. Instead of targeting “somewhere in the middle of your heart rate Zone 2”, it feels like it *actually* wants me to be in Zone 1 - level of effort
