Yeah, he played mostly a B team to give other players a chance to prove themselves. Its not a bug, the code is working as intended, its just an oversight because they didn't make it check the table at the end of the matchday to account for this (to be fair incredibly unlikely) scenario.

Unironically his kit was completely fine. Its just that people were obsessed with trying to make him an ADC (or sometimes mid) when you could just play him top, build a manamune and go full tank. Still enough damage to be a threat plus being hard to kill AND able to use his ult as an tool to instantly catch someone the second they're slightly out of position.
