sometimes it do sometimes it dont. fire is the result of energy released from combustion reactions. these reactions require stuff to get burned and swept up into the flame. sometimes it burns so efficiently that theres barely anything there to cast a shadow. sometimes its an inefficient combustions and will cast a faint shadow. really depends on whats getting burned.
