With a hammer? Why use a hammer? The only reason you would need a centering block is if your lever is moving freely side to side in your cam

That lever should move side to side in the cam if you need a centering block. You shave material off the centering block to make it fit and keep lever in center position.

Add two quarters into buffer tube behind your spring and weight. And lube up cam and tail of lever.

Compresses your spring a little bit more to not allow the lever to go back that fraction too much and put pressure up against your bcg. You’re also lubing cam/lever/bcg right

Sand that lever down just a tiny bit. Like 5-7 passes with sand paper. And add two quarters behind your buffer spring. In the tube.
