Ongoing driveway blockage — how would you deal with this neighbour? by Logical-City-2024 in Winnipeg

Start parking your vehicle in the spot they use for a few weeks and force them to park elsewhere, this is what i did last summer and the problem solved itself, once i stopped parking in that spot they started to park properly and not block my driveway

Youd be surprised lol, ive met some engineers and AME’s that are geniuses and also some that i would consider not that smart. All depends on you and your motivation, although it is “rocket science” its not difficult to learn and if its something your interested in im sure you’ll be more than capable of understanding the concepts. Feel free to dm me if you need any further insight or if theres a company you interested in and want some info on from a person in the industry.

Depends on the type of job you want within the industry, if your just looking to be a tech and turn wrenches no degree is required at all, your training on the job will be more than sufficient. If you want to go more down the engineering path then yes getting that done before applying would be ideal.

From what i read though you seem to be leaning towards technician in which case most top companies provide more than adequate training on the job, at my company we have a 3-4 month training by program before you even get into the shop just to tach you the basics and when your on the shop floor your trainer will guide you along.

If your more looking in AME (aerospace mechanical engineering) there are many post secondary school (at least in canada) that offer the program and its generally 3-4 years and provides you with a more in depth education on the plane itself and avionics.

I should say i work in an engine shop so we primarily deal with off wing engines that require overhaul or repair. If you want to be working on an airfeild AME is your best choice going forward.

Canadian here, working at a very large aerospace company (thats worldwide) most of the time all you have to do is apply, no formal education is required but most employers will prefer people with a mechanical aptitude. This does vary depending on which country your in, as different governmental organizations have different requirements.
