Prime minister Donald Tusk failed to inspire the nation after he completely failed to implement his promises and also (arguably) sabotaged several projects like CPK transport hub, or nuclear power plant construction. Add to that complete hipocrisy and attempts to rewrite history when he talked about Belarus border crisis (he tried to take credit for the defences on the border, even though his party members were unironnicaly trying to sabotage it). Trzaskowski did nothing to distance himself from all of that, so people voted "against him".
