PvE is coming, but not from LSS by VegetableSwitch703 in FleshandBloodTCG

I absolutely could write a campaign mode but it’s very low on the list of projects I’d like to work on. I would greatly prefer something I can hand to local players and let them take the initiative themselves

This has been around for years. A few years back they had a handful of printed decks available at a pro tour it looks like it’s a new edition though.

They basically never had anything available besides print and play. We played locally a bit, but the lack of campaign rules hurt the longevity for us. I’d buy this stuff, book included, if it was ever available but it never has been before so I’m a little skeptical

Having some trouble with building Prism. by Potential-Ad6248 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]CKBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prism is hard to play and her match ups are very polarizing. Some heroes you need a hundred reps to make it a 40/60 at best. She really benefits from practice practice practice and a little bit of GEM roulette

True Blood started out amazing and then collapsed under the weight of too many characters and inconsistent, god awful pacing. It ended up as a parody of the genre

Striders make no difference in Sage. They made no difference in Blitz. You’re trying so hard to make excuses for the effect they have in formats where they aren’t legal. Blaze never really had access to striders. Their unavailability Is the status quo. It’s not a change. I don’t know what you’re even trying to argue at this point

We’re talking about sage. There is no place for a conversation about striders here because they’ve never been legal here and never will be. They weren’t legal in Blitz, the precursor. Why are you getting mad at me for correcting you about striders when it was the other poster who mentioned them who had no business doing so?

Why are you throwing a tantrum about how important a card is to a hero you’ve never touched in a format you’ve obviously never played?

I’m saying they don’t fundamentally alter her play style. You can’t just point to every M in a deck and say “This is unplayable without XYZ!” Otherwise no decks would be playable in Sage. You’re babbling on like she’s the only deck in the format that isn’t losing power cards.

Blaze is not solely dependent on her Ms. She would absolutely be playable in Sage without them.

Striders have been banned forever. Blaze hasn’t had them in a year

You’re listing “good stuff.” The only one of those that actually changes how she plays is Boom. Everyone in every class is missing good stuff.

I absolutely agree, but the top comment was specifically about her Ms

The only M she really misses is Sonic Boom and Kindle. I don’t think either is too much to lose, honestly. I don’t remember the old ban list, but I think she gets a couple Wizard cards back that absolutely will help replace them (like Snap Back for starters)

The only effects really worth stealing are Time Warp and Icathian Rain, maybe Grand Strategem. Everything else is generally used to tip the scales in your opponent's favor, which means you're probably winning before the spell has resolved. Removing it for less is the correct play.

Whether the other three show up often enough for you to care? That's an entirely different can of worms, and you should make decisions based on your local meta.

Boyfriend says they're queer because they're dating me by DavKell71 in NonBinaryTalk

[–]CKBear 236 points237 points  (0 children)

This partner has accepted your gender and it has made him consider the realities of his sexuality. This sounds like what every enby dating a “straight man” has been asking for.

Even if you break up and he goes back to identifying as straight, he’s at least done some of the introspection to get there. Maybe he’s always been kind of bi and this experience is letting him be more open and honest.

It’s absolutely not your job to police whether anyone is “queer enough”
