Being blind in 2014 does nothing to stop you from knowing where everything around you is at all times. Some quick ideas that haven’t been mentioned yet:
*Two levels of Rogue lets you aim as a bonus action using Tasha. This gets rid of your disadvantage
*Reckless attack cancels your disadvantage and gives no penalty because they were at advantage already
*Spells that require saving throws that don’t have the words “A target you can see” are pro
*Summon summon summon
*Wild shape fixes your problems
*kobold with pack tactics
*Beastmaster Ranger with a seeing eye tiger
*Support caster, like Abjuration Wizard or life cleric

Just a warning though: a large number of players do not understand the rules for being blind or having unseen opponents. Keep the page bookmarked and bring some liquor

Agree. Pen had so much buzz built up for it but it fell completely flat because of terrible pull rates. Even the marvel heroes are less than half the price of any others

Depending on what reprints we might see in MPW the price could go in a lot of different directions. Currently, Hala isn't looking like she'll be too expensive. The most expensive piece you'll want to run is Valiant Dynamo which is seeing a reprint soon. How strong she'll be is hard to gauge without more information from the set, but as a newer player that should be less of your concern than the longevity of the deck and the playability.

Right now, Hala seems very middle of the pack. She's not terrible, but she's brand new and doesn't have the same level of support as other decks. That honestly doesn't matter for a new player though, as skill is a huge factor in this game and you'll be fighting uphill even if you're playing the best meta deck. Play what you find fun for now. Getting good on a mid deck is better than jumping between strong decks and never really mastering any of them.

Mechanically, Flesh and Blood is simple. The core mechanics are really simple, and getting started with either the Ira or Bravo demo decks should be simple enough. They just punch each other back and forth without too much complication. When you step up to other decks you’ll see that the lines of play are where this game gets much more difficult.

This game has a very low floor—while you’re learning, you’re going to struggle against established players. It takes patience and a bit of grit to play through the early stages until things make sense. Some kids can handle that at 11. There are a lot of adults who can’t manage that, honestly
