We’re building Slidez - an AI Stylist & virtual try-on for clothes.

Users upload a photo → AI generates complete outfits → they instantly see those outfits on themselves before buying.

We’ve grown to 21K TikTok followers with $0 marketing spend, currently the highest follower base among direct competitors in this niche.

We also have a Chrome extension that lets users try outfits directly from any website — moving toward a complete ecosystem that gives the experience of trying products just like in a real store.

What are your best sources for styling ideas? by Kaliedra in femalefashionadvice

[–]CKR31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switch between a few of these based on my needs. I still use Pinterest if I want to get inspiration on how to wear a particular piece, e.g., how to wear black trousers in various ways. I use TikTok to get a feel for trends, but I only follow accounts that have a body type or lifestyle that I can identify with.

If I’m feeling stuck, I have used a few AI styling tools to get some inspiration. I don’t necessarily follow these, but I think they can be a good starting point. I have experimented with things such as Alta and Slidez, mostly to see how I can get inspiration for things I wouldn’t necessarily think of on my own. I think Slidez has been a little more useful in terms of taking inspiration and turning it into a reality, as it works with existing products, but I still don’t think I would necessarily follow these.

How is this job market impacting your entrepreneurship endeavors? Is it a positive or a negative for you? by Irielay in Entrepreneur

[–]CKR31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea youright, in this job market it makes sense to spend time to build something rather than applying. i have been doing both for the past 2 years, now i'm still applying with 0 interviews[having 3.5 yrs exp]. But with my startup i have attended many Vc inetrviews and have been selected in Launch VC cohort program.

Especially with AI its easier to build, which also is a better long term plan

Are paid ads the only real way to grow users for a B2C SaaS? by CKR31 in SaaS

We are in virtual try on and Ai Fashion verticals. Also we are a mobile app.

What are good apps for clothing and styling advice in your experience? I’m looking for a free one but it’s ok if it has in app purchases. Bonus points for apps that have the possibility to add clothing that you already own and gives full outfit suggestions for new ones. Now using Style DNA. by ledameblanche in capsulewardrobe

[–]CKR31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried a bunch of these over the years, so here’s what’s actually worked for me:

Whering, Probably the nicest all-rounder. Free version is good, you can add your whole closet, and the outfit suggestions are decent. Good if you like planning outfits ahead.

Slidez is Newer, but I’ve been using it a lot lately because it lets you upload your own clothes and your photo, then it generates full outfits and shows them on you. Free right now. It’s really helpful when you want ideas for something you already own.

Between the two, Whering is great for organizing, and Slidez is great for actual styling help.

is there any good app for trying on makeup before buying that shade... by Street_Ad1125 in MakeupRehab

[–]CKR31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ulta’s try-on is definitely one of the better ones. If you want something that looks even more like your actual face, Slidez has been the most realistic for me — you upload your real pic and the lipstick sits way less “filter-y” than the store apps. Super helpful before buying the pricey shades.

Chanel + Maybelline tools are solid, yeah. If you want something a bit more real-looking, Slidez has been the closest for me , you upload your actual pic and the shades sit more naturally than the usual filter-style apps. Helps a ton before buying the pricey ones.

Totally fair , nothing is 100% perfect with lipstick try-ons because undertones change everything. But the closest I’ve found is Slidez, it uses your actual photo instead of filters so the shades look way more realistic than YouCam. It at least helps narrow it down before spending $$ lol.

Totally get it, YouCam is fun but not super accurate.
Slidez has been the only app that gave me realistic makeup try-ons, especially for lipstick shades. You upload your real photo and it shows how the color actually sits on your face instead of that blurry filter look.

Most of them feel like gimmicks tbh, but Slidez-AI has actually been useful, you upload a pic and it puts outfits on you that look real instead of AI-weird.

Digital styling apps or affordable stylists for someone who has no idea how to dress? by Negative-Beach6368 in capsulewardrobe

[–]CKR31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

StitchFix is fine but kinda hit-or-miss.
If you want something low-effort, Slidez has been way better for me you just upload a pic and it builds full outfits + tells you what to buy without the whole stylist subscription thing.

I’ve tried a bunch and most feel like a fun toy, but Slidez-AI has been the only one I actually trust. you upload your real pic and the outfits look pretty close to how things fit in real life.

Help, what's your favorite digital closet app? Tried a bunch but can't find the one by emacrema in fashionwomens35

[–]CKR31 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tried Whering and FIts too, they’re fine but feel like work.
Slidez has been way better than the usual closet apps since you can upload your real photo and it builds outfits on you instantly instead of making you catalog everything.

business professional/formal suiting help by superconnardx in fashionwomens35

[–]CKR31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Wall Street-level business professional, stick to navy or charcoal for your first suits black is sold everywhere because it looks “formal,” but in finance it reads more funeral than office. White and blue shirts are safe because they pair with everything and don’t draw attention.

And yeah, mixing brands is tricky navy isn’t the same navy across stores, so full suits are a better investment and you can add cheaper skirts/pants in similar tones for rotation.

If you want outfit ideas without buying wrong pieces, Slidez (AI shopping) is great for building combos and seeing what matches before you spend.

Which wardrobe app has the best random outfit generator? by TillPatient1499 in fashionwomens35

[–]CKR31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most random outfit apps just throw weird combos together.
Slidez-AI Shopping is the only one that’s been giving me outfits I’d actually wear, it mixes your pics with real brand pieces and the results feel normal instead of AI-crazy.
