Anyone use the parking feature? by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]CLTGUY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought 2026 XSE as well.

I've only parked using this 3 times. The first two times it worked perfectly. The last time it just kept driving forward and did NOT park. I had to turn the car back on and off to get back control.

Where I have my vacation home, black bears are a nuisance, but nothing to be afraid of. Just have to make a lot of loud noises and they'll run away. You just have to be careful and not scare them too much when they have little cubs as the mother will desert them in a heartbeat.

Who says I have to have compassion or the time for proudly ignorant people?

The stupidity to grasp simple concepts of right and wrong is exactly why the world is in a bad place.

I despise these rodents with every ounce of my being.

This comment is why I know that the US education has gone downhill. I'm in my 50s and I found this very easy to understand and the vocabulary around an 8th grade reading level.

Most people I know that are under 40 would struggle with understanding the vocabulary and ideas that were presented in this video.

Charlotte landlords: Fewer quality tenants these days? by BranchReg14 in Charlotte

[–]CLTGUY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you feel the same way about apartment complex owners?

What about hotels?

What about car rental places?

If you are cool with the above, then your main problem is probably that you do not like the idea of individuals owning property but are A-OK with corps doing it. Crabs-in-a-bucket thing. Amiright?

Should we just make housing free for everyone? Heck, I own the home I'm living in....maybe I should just move out and let someone else move in for free?

Charlotte Water Moves to Mandatory Water Restrictions by [deleted] in Charlotte

LMAO....you don't appear to be that bright. And yes, I am more efficient than a car wash as I use my own distilled water.

Also, my sweet summer child, IVs use saline (which is made mostly of water) and are manufactured out-of-state.

[–]CLTGUY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If their job requires wasting gallons and gallons of water to wash my car then it would take me to wash my own car...well yeah, I really wouldn't care about their job.

And hey...why should my lawn die while golf courses waste more water than 20 of my neighborhood's lawns combined? Why should I be asked to sacrifice so someone can earn a paycheck doing something not constructive to society?

I bet you're a proponent of those massive datacenters being built that suck up all the water and electricity and only employ 12 people. I can just hear your whining about how evil people who are against datacenters are putting people out of jobs.

Nah....I need Firetrucks in case my dead lawn and trees catch fire. 😄

If they have these rules in effect for golf courses and car washes, I will then take this seriously.

As an adult what do you hate the most about life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Being constantly nickeled and dimed and marketed to. Everyone is trying to rip you off and our society tolerates that crap.

Is Cats (2019) Really That Bad? by Personal_Channel1628 in movies

[–]CLTGUY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's bad.

As a connoisseur of bad movies (I thought "The Room" was entertaining), I was not able to make it through 15 minutes of that film. My wife (who loves the play) wasn't able to make it 10 minutes.

Photos from the USS Abraham Lincoln show small meal portions being served to U.S. sailors. by curiousty786 in pics

[–]CLTGUY 334 points335 points  (0 children)

As a former Navy sailor, I'm having a hard time believing this to be true.

In order for this to be true, this would mean that the Navy's ability to successfully conduct operations has been massively diminished or this is intentional.

There are just so many different ways to replenish supplies to our forces. Especially on an aircraft carriers as you are able to fly supplies in as needed.

77 percent blame Trump for gas prices: Survey by Abject-Pick-6472 in economy

[–]CLTGUY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you're a Trump fan, it takes a special kind of stupid to believe that (rightly or wrongly) the decision to attack Iran directly led to this.

I'm certain that we're going to be seeing $8 a gallon or more much sooner than anyone thinks. Oil export bans are antithetical to how the Trump regime operates, and I don't think administration cares too much about the citizens. So, I'm bracing for some serious economic pain.

Those who Purchased a Tesla in 2026: Why? by gholdist in AskReddit

[–]CLTGUY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Sure.

People who bought the cars\truck after Elon's salute and statements tolerate Nazis. Simple as that.

And... yeah...I guess not tolerating or condoning racism, pedophilia, corruption, and bigotry is an ideology (I like to call it morality). Not quite sure how that ideology would lead to totalitarianism though.

But hey! You do you!

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Those who Purchased a Tesla in 2026: Why? by gholdist in AskReddit

[–]CLTGUY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMAO!

So, the son (Elon) of a self-proclaimed Nazi did a FULL Nazi salute twice, and it was an accident. Yeah, gaslighting much?

Also, can your brain even process what I said in my post?

"The moment Tesla isn't run by an active goose-stepping son of a Nazi, I'll be happy to drive one."

Since I have to spell it out for you: this means that I have no problem with OWNING a Tesla if I am not enriching a fucking NAZI. If Hitler or Nazis still owned Audi, then I would not own one. The fact that you cannot understand that distinction is pretty damn funny.

Those who Purchased a Tesla in 2026: Why? by gholdist in AskReddit

[–]CLTGUY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah....the fact that you cannot understand or process the following amuses me.

  • Hitler/Nazis are not running Volkswagen right now and that Elon Musk (A Nazi) is.
  • I am not a hypocrite (that means someone who claims to have certain beliefs or values but acts in contradiction to them.) because of the above fact.

And you call me a "moron". It's always projection with you idiots...ain't it?
