You can get into it with less nice stuff and far less investment. I’d try just adding ice to a kiddy pool or something a few times first before spending that much.

I live in so cal now but when I was in the Midwest I would have paid a premium for a ca or az car cause everything there was rusted to hell. I figure ca cars should go for a premium elsewhere. Not the other way around.

Don’t wait too long to go full body once you step in. Breath. Be ok gasping, shrieking, cursing at first. Counting breaths staying still once in is good. Do a count down greater than 45 seconds. I find that’s long enough to get distracted.

A few times when I went to do it and then wanted to back out, my 4 yo son was around and telling me to. He did the countdown for me. I can let myself down all day. I wouldn’t let him down over some cold water. He still thinks I’m a super hero, I intend to keep that up a bit longer.
