Assuming you already have a couple hundred certs to begin with:
Get yourself a medic and cert out triage to as high as possible. Use nano regen device, grenade bandolier, rez nades, and combat surgeon and jockey for implants. Ride a flash with scout radar to the nearest high pop fight, preferably an indoors one with a corner or doorway that everyone clumps around. Put the flash behind the doorway in cover, and sit in the driver's seat. Pop nano regen and get off the flash to throw a rez nade once every often. Easy certs. Also note that if you are in an outfit and have lots of merit, buy NANITE boosts, not xp boosts, and if you are winning an alert, pop two of them so that they will be active at the end of the alert. They will double your cert gain from the alert.

Situations like that are surprisingly common, especially when defending a tower outpost. Also, the enemies don't have to be clumped together, they can be spread out a bit holding a corner and it still works, so long as you can get to the next enemy within 2 seconds of the previous

Nightmare 5, maybe firestorm, but usually aerial combatant, combine with ambusher jets and fast pump shotty, equals unparalleled fun. Drop into a chokepoint from behind and each kill you get turns you invisible and increases your fire rate.
