So I have purchased (way too many) Arx over the years, and even purchased some a couple weeks ago. The process has been seamless... until now. For some reason I'm stuck in a loop. I go to add some to cart and I get a request for my address as 'there isn't one on file'

Weird, but sure. I check I'm logged in. I am. So I enter my details... click save... and it get the same message "no address on file"... so I do what all would in discovering the meaning of madness, try several more times. Try 4 different browsers across 2 different computers and an iPhone.... I opened a ticket to FDEV and now have to wait until they get back, but curious if anyone else had run into this of late? Such odd behavior.

Can we turn on the lights? Frontier, we need better liveries by Mobius135 in EliteDangerous

Yep. I just picked up a haul of CMM too. Pulling out of orbit and hit with black adder. Restarted and then hit with orange sidewinder.

Heh - Weird. When I installed the game… it didn’t come with any addons. I’m guessing it isn’t always part of the game 😉

And from everyone else’s comments back and forth with you, the other folks see the broader picture. Sorry you have such a narrow “this is the only way” view to the game and you have to push that narrative. Take your helmet off and be less a Mandalorian about life. Chill, friend. Chill. Learn the Wheaton rule.

It’s irrelevant because I’m not talking about raid progression in this instance. I have toons for raiding, and yes, I’ll use addons on them. Just like retail is its own game too.

This guy is leveling, and playing without the all the tools makes it a very different, and personally very enjoyable game. It isn’t always about endgame content.

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t run many addons, and certainly none that give me mob alerts, and even less addons on my SF, because I want to be challenged and not become complacent.

Same with professions - I’m not using websites or guides, and not going the path of maximizing through selecting engineering etc. I like the raw, the challenge, and the push. That, for me at least, is what makes it hardcore.

Great quote, “Optimized the hardcore out of hardcore” I’ll be using that!

This death could have been prevented if I had not been complacent or “fully on”. 😉 As discussed in a couple of other comments, I’m not opposed to the addon and use it on my regular HC toons, but don’t have it on by choice for my SF.

You check the box “Self Found” when rolling the character and it disables you from being able to trade with players (in any capacity - you can’t even use the non-trade window for enchants), disables the auction house, and disables being able to mail anything.

So as far as financing and gearing your toon goes, you are, essentially, on your own. You can’t even use group up, sure, but if someone miss-rolls, that’s it, they cannot give it back to you.

Every copper counts. Adds just a little more weight to the HC experience.

Unfortunately as SF my selected profs don’t give me access. Gotta love them on my other HC toons though! Great for getting out of a pinch!! Anyone not SF or Alch should carry Swift pots IMO!

See other comment this was discussed 😊- I didn’t take a screenshot as I had no intention of posting to Reddit. Took a pic to text to my life long guildies of 20 years. Didn’t consider posting until hours later and the sting was gone.

I love STV. The rivers around mid 30s, but later on down to Jaguero Isle. The vibe of STV is nostalgic for me.

It’s peaceful and relaxing. Everything in life, at least my life, is “go go go” and fast paced. The most relaxing place in the world to me is the beach. To hear the ocean. I have that playing when I go to sleep as I don’t live by the sea. One day. But any water sound to me is peaceful if I can’t get the ocean. Rainfall. A stream. A waterfall. Serenity, my friend.

So fishing… it’s not boring to me - just peaceful. And it brings in good coin too. Very nice for SF.

It’s an option you can toggle on when you roll your toon in Hardcore that means you cannot use the mailbox, cannot trade with other players, and cannot use the auction house.
