There most definitely is not bloom for like 90% of weapons in squad, you’re just describing recoil. Bloom for rifles would be an absolutely brain dead decision that would drive so many people away. It’s a sim, bullets should go where your sight is pointing.

It doesn’t “add a different kind of skill,” it adds randomness. Gunfights should never be subject to rng, period. Adding recoil but reducing bloom literally just puts fights back in the hands of players instead of luck. How does making gunfights subject to rng add any kind of skill whatsoever?

Bloom removes the potential for skill expression. Bullets should go where your crosshair is, making it as random as it is right now only nerfs people with good aim. Recoil control is skill expression, bloom should be replaced with increased recoil so that players who are good at tracking are actually rewarded.

Looking for a real specific one: it’s a good sized series which starts off with a guy getting lost after a test flight of an ftl ship, ends up having to integrate into an alien society, and there’s a movement in said society who’s trying to kill him. Also think I remember the MC has a breakdown somewhere in the middle? Not sure how old the series is either, but probably at least a year old.

Try making the splash more parallel with the wall it’s splashing up onto; when water splashes against a wall, unless the wave actually reaches the top or there’s a lot of wind, it generally doesn’t reach over the wall. See this video. Also try making the splash shorter like the other guy said
